I just wanted to give my wholehearted appreciation to all of you supporting this channel. It's growing so fast that I can barely keep up anymore, most of the time I am lost for words. Thank you! Here's hoping I can continue to entertain all of you with good service. This is the case of Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell, my longest case yet. I still can’t believe this story is a real one… For those impatient, the story begins to heat up at 09:20.
Lori telling Charles' kids their dad died via text...wow. Might as well tag them in a tweet, "Heyyy, your dad died, he loved you very much. Why don't you come over? There's gonna be a pool party!! love you xoxo"
@@ariadneschild8460 i think it comes from how i think the number is like 20% of police officers end up being involved with domestic violence themselves....aka abusing their partners. you end up asking for help from foxes about foxes in the hen house....
@@Butterflier00 that's true, police are people too, dv and misogyny is a huge problem but I still say it's completely crap that our society still shames and ignores male victims.
Genuinely one of the things that pisses me off to no end about this case is the fact that Charles _called the police_ and told them that he was afraid for his life and his kids lives because he was sure Lori was going to try and kill them. And like always, the police did _nothing._ They probably could’ve prevented most if not all of the deaths in this case if they had just done their jobs and listened to Charles.
yes... in SOO many of these horrific cases there were signs, and so often people DO try and reach authorities, and get help from those who are meant to keep us safe and uphold the law. but it seems the system fails us more than not. its actually terrifying. we have this false notion of safety in a modern world with "laws" and "law enforcement". but eventually in time of need, they almost always fail to perform as they're meant to. we're all just left to fend for ourselves.
I’m not saying it’s the case in this case, but sometimes, and I know this is crazier than the Daybells themselves, they are only legally allowed to do so much. They follow a protocol; they do all those things (albeit sometimes not to the best of their ability or at full capacity which is what I think happened in this case in the beginning) & if “nothing is amiss”, they leave. they can do that over & over and “never find anything wrong” until something does happen and that DOES happen too often. For example, if DCFS is called about some children possibly being abused or mistreated, they go (IF they go- DCFS is a whole other garbage monster tbh) and bring their little checklist and if everything checks out- they have food, a place to sleep and something proving they have fun, etc- they leave. A little of it is for liability purposes. Someone can call DCFS on a family they don’t like, just to try and get them caught up and in trouble and be malicious (I’ve seen it almost happen) to have their children taken away. I know that is rare, and it’s obviously deeper than that but I’m just speaking generally. The best thing someone can do is call in a welfare check. But if, and solely based of LE’s judgement sometimes unfortunately, there is nothing amiss… what else can they do? Harass them when nothing might be wrong? I know it’s better to try and be wrong but I think it’s a liiiittle more complicated than just, “they shouldn’t done this” etc. but I will agree those cops didn’t do shit. and it’s a goddamn shame. but I also truly believe that all these victims’ unfortunate endings would’ve happened regardless.
Pictures of Tylee and JJ really show a lot of love between them. My heart hurts every time I see them. I hope Lori and Chad get the full force of the justice system on them.
That's probably why they were killed separately and not together; especially Tylee first. I would honestly lose myself if I was seeing someone harm my siblings, and try to fight for them with everything I've got. They were probably all they had those last few months the mom went crazy. :/

Thank you for specifically pointing out that Charles was a good family man and was seriously disrespected by the police. JJ and Tylee are obviously tragic victims of Lori and Chad as well. Lori is currently claiming to be incompetent to stand trial, but I think her days of manipulating the authorities are now long past.
I can understand why the police couldn’t help him in regards of Laurie draining their joint accounts and changing the locks since they are legally married at the time and nothing Laurie had done was illegal, but to have the police quickly dismissed Charles claim that Laurie threatened him and that he was fearful of his life is just not right, especially when Charles was killed shortly after. If the police couldn’t help Charles at the time, the very least they can do was taken his murder more seriously instead of believing the whole “self-defense” argument from the very people that Charles originally warned the police about prior to his death. The police’s inaction regarding Charles death was just shameful and ridiculous.
It's not the fault of "the world." Keep the blame where it lies - with the sick INDIVIDUALS. The world itself is not bad. Don't make the mistake of allowing the media to distort your world view. Bad things happen, yes, but great things happen also. Don't ever forget that.
The cops dropped the ball. If it'd been a woman saying she was scared of her husband, they'd probably made more of an effort. Have you heard of a serial killer named Shelia LaBarre? a friend of mine used to date her. she murdered several people including a young man who had a very low IQ. The police did a well fair check, but it wasn't much of one. She later killed him. An author who did a book on her said that if the genders had been reversed, the police who have made more of an effort.
We ALL drop the ball at different times in our lives. The police, like the various churches, aren't perfect or impervious to scandal. Yet, you want to defund them. It would be more beneficial to society to defund religion! This is just one example where religion has been used to justify murder!
@@thomasswafford250 I do agree that the US police are too slow and hesitant when it comes to female villains. It's definitely unequal although the Karens are helping to even things out.😉 See below for my comment on cops not being perfect. However, like the rest of us, they seem learn as they go along - this is clear from the series Mindhunter.
@@messrsandersonco5985 I never said, I wanted to defend them. They will learn as they go along if they see their mistakes. I hope they do. The situation needs reviewed to see how such mistakes aren't made again. Unfortunately, when it comes to religion, so many people get taken in by someone's outward display of religiousity. I live in the South and so often the worst people are in church every Sunday and people think them wonderful.
I just don't understand how SO many people that are connected familially or romantically can die or go missing in such a relatively short period of time and it takes as long as it did for law enforcement to go "huh that's kind of an odd coincidence!" It's kind of disappointing.
Problem is that police are usually overworked (and underpaid) and tend to only see what's right in front of them, don't have access to all the relevant information plus this case is complicated by the murders being committed in different jurisdictions.
The fact that Lori was holding a freaking pool party in the same house her ex husband just died in front of only a few moments ago and had no reaction at all to the man's death whatsoever on top of that... The whole dam police department in that area where they lived should have been FIRED on the dam spot.
I live in the Boise, ID area where both Lori Vallow & Chad Daybell were sentenced in court. Lori received the punishment of life in prison without the possibility of parole. Just a couple of days ago, the jury unanimously agreed to the death sentence for Chad Daybell.
The police totally failed in this case. Back when Charles first told them about his delusional wife and they were dismissive and blaming him for wasting their time. May true justice be served.
So glad they were arrested. I had a pit in my stomach when I saw this on Inside Edition last year and looked at the case daily until they found the children. What a bad ending they had ☹️
I can't imagine getting such a casual text about my dad dying. Wtf, imagine how those kids felt. I'd think it was a joke or just stay in disbelief that that's how she informed me
The police scolded Charles for “wasting their time” when said he was threatened by his wife. If Lori had told the police that, they would have believed her 100%
That really annoyed me. When people tell the police about scary and threatening shit they should take it seriously - seems like they have poor training or do not understand what their actual role is in preventing crime and protecting people. Lori had taken a massive amount of money, his truck, their effects, their children.... and she was acting bonkers. Then he gets killed by her brother... I mean, honestly!
Just remember that comes from the toxic masculine culture. Women didn't start that, men did. Men crack jokes or don't believe other men who are asking for help with abuse. Men have to actively work to dismantle that to avoid deaths like this, and to understand that yes men can be physically, sexually, and emotionally abused as well. That that kind of thing needs to be taken seriously.
@@nicolemarie1360 So you're blaming the victim and stereotyping all "Men" as doing the same thing. Same logic as blaming a woman for getting raped, since she "deserved" It by wearing provcative clothes. Wahmen good , men bad. Misandry at it's finest

I also feel sorry for Chad Daybell's wife. She was married to that idiot for decades, had his kids, and then he most likely killed (or had her killed) so he could be with some woman he was suddenly into. Even if he didn't have her killed (unlikely), he obviously cared very little for her because he got remarried two weeks later! Unbelievable.

The Police let Charles down big time, there is so much information both on camera and off that Charles was very very concerned for himself and his children, there needs to be a full investigation of all the officers involved, when I say all, I mean right to the top of the pile. They should be hanging their heads in shame
As a mother, this hurts. They are not my children, but I just can't understand. I would take in any child who otherwise is doomed to be killed by people who are supposed to care for them.. I am sitting here crying. How dare they.
I hope that Charles, Tammy, Tylee and JJ get the Justice they deserve. JJ was on the spectrum, and as someone who is on the spectrum herself, this case is very heartbreaking for me. As for Charles, he was the same age as my Dad. He seemed like a good man. The police failed him.
I’m not sure if he had mentioned this, but a couple of days (like 3 days) after her husbands death Lori decided to go cash in on his life insurance policy and the payout was around 1 million dollars. Charles was a very smart man and was already wise to her despicable and evil ways so last minute he actually changed the beneficiary to his sister and Lori did not get ONE CENT from him. Even after his death he managed to screw her, and she deserves everything that is coming her way because that woman is VILE.

Just an update for anyone watching this: Lori and Chad Daybell were charged with first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of Tylee and JJ. They have both pleaded not guilty on all counts, and they face the death penalty if they are found guilty. Charles Daybell is also charged with an additional count of first-degree murder in the case of his late wife Tammy Daybell, whose body was exhumed after authorities began searching for Tylee and JJ in 2019. Lori is also charged with conspiracy to commit murder in Arizona in connection with the death of her former husband, Charles Vallow. Authorities maintain that Lori’s brother, Alex Cox, died of natural causes. Lori and Chads joint trial is scheduled for April 2023.
Great information. One can only hope they are found guilty. At least from what I think after watching this video: they are guilty for sure. Responsible for so many deaths.
Another side note. She had two other sisters die of mysterious causes. One in 1971 and the other 1998. Death seems to follow her everywhere she goes. Maybe shes the one with the dark spirit
She is a huge narcissist. She uses people, men in particular, to stroke her ego. When Chad told her how "chosen" and special she was, of course she jumped right in. Even if it meant sacrificing her own children.
Don’t ignore that Chad sought her out - he clearly picked up that he could manipulate her through her narcissism. She did not start killing until after Chad showed up. If Chad didn’t want to be with her, none of this would have happened. Chad is the instigator.
Last I checked, she wasn't dxed with NPD, but is being investigated to see if she is clinically insane, though it is doubtful & believed she's NT. Words have meaning, and narcissist isn't a synonym for abusive, killer, or bad person. As someone else pointed out, Chad sought her out to manipulate her, and I've heard he attempted to place the blame solely on her.

@@oldmandoinghighkicksonlyin1368 I disagree. One of the *primary reasons* for law enforcement is to protect us from this level of crazy - to maintain order and peace. At the time that she left with all of his cars, his assets, and his children without informing him and locked him out of his house it should have became an issue warranting police involvement. First of all, depending on whose name was on the vehicle titles and how the money she took was stored (his bank account or a joint bank account), she could be charged with theft regardless of if they are married for taking a car that legally didn't belong to her and accessing a bank account that she was not authorized to access. Furthermore, at the time she took the children, both he and her had equal custody of the children. To remove them from the home without telling him, take them to an undisclosed location, and deny him the ability to access his children to which he has full legal custody is a crime and can actually amount to kidnapping/abduction charges - not to mention the cause for immediate concern for the welfare of the children. Honestly, I'd go as far as say a good chunk of the responsibility for all the losses in this case lie on those cops' hands. They should've listened to him.
Smart people are not attracted to being a police man or woman. It's a profession that unfortunately draws people who want easy power. From my own understanding at least.
Oh I know. It’s very off that no alarming bells were ringing for them. Police officers are always good at picking up that kind of behavior. Any other police department would’ve thought how she was acting was strange and wondering why she was smiling after her estranged husband just passed away. But from what I’ve seen in this bodycam footage and the interrogation of Lori right after Charles passes away, they don’t seem very competent to me or the brightest police force. But that’s just me.
It should have set off alarm bells. However, another explanation is that people grieve differently, plus it was so soon after the death that she could have been in denial over him being dead.
Wrong. This case isn't about some cross-eyed cult whose followers become zombie morons. No. It's all about MONEY and the sheer greed, selfishness and evil of some people to acquire it at all costs. When you buy insurance, NEVER, EVER tell your beneficiaries that they are your beneficiaries. Keep it to yourself as your own top secret. Do the same with your will. There'll be a whole lot less murders if everybody did this.
Oh heck yeah they did it. I remember following this, and when she said the kids "were in a safe place" I was certain they were dead. To Doomsday people, dead is the only 'safe'.
Barbara- God does talk to his Children ( the True Believers in Christ). They were listening to Satan and thought it was God. You have to know the difference!! A True Believer would never kill anyone.
So Lori and Chad was "true believers" wasn't they? Satan or not, it's the same BS thing anyway. Over the course of history, "true believers" have destroyed 100's, 1000's and millions of lives. So to say that "true believers" wouldn't kill anyone, is infact wrong. When we know that religious leaders of different religious ideologies, have blessed genocides and atrocites towards humankind. One can't argue that religious people can't do harm or act extremely cruel. I was a witness to a horrible act from religious "true believers". When my mother (@ that time was suffering from anxiety and deep depression), was a victim of two inexperinced deeply religious women performing an exorsism on her. I was @ that time only 8 or 9 years old, sitting just a few meters away watching them do this horrible thing to my mother. I heard how my mother screamd for forgiveness and crying violently when these monsters of religion, destroyed my mother. I ran out to my dad, who was in the garage, fixing his car and couldn't hear what was going on inside the house. When I came out and told him what was going on, he ran inside, did the only right thing to do with monsters like this. That's the only time in my life I saw my dad get physical and violently angry with people. What my dad did to these 2 monsters was super-hero stuff:))) He ran inside, with NO hesitation grabbed both of these christian monster-devils by the hair and dragged them thrue the house and SLAMMED them hard onto the concrete floor, infront of the front door. It had to hurt aloooot lmao...It wasn't a soft drop, it was a hard SLAMM:))))))))))) He then grabbed each of them one @ the time, by hair and the waist of their pants and literally threw them down the concrete stairs outside. There was several steps of hard concrete stairs before they hit the ground. He did this to both of them. While on the ground oof'ing and crying after being thrown several steps of hard concrete steps of stairs he said "and you will never return or see my wife or family again". He closed the door gently not to frighten me and patted me on my shoulder and he hugged me. Before going inside to comfort my mum. She was sitting there on the sofa, crying violently and still screaming. Because of this, she tried to commit suicide several times. My mum died at the age of 50, from cancer and she never recovered from her anxiety and depression. GOD?? nowhere to be seen, of course, GOD is a lie!!!!!!!!! So when these religious monsters(aka true believers) showed up @ her funeral, my dad paused the priest, stood up, walked over to these two entitled devils and escorted them peacefully out of the chirch, closed the church door, sat back down and calmly told the priest to continue. WHAT A FUCKING SUPER-HERO, what a fantastic role model to my son. If I could be half the man my dad was, I would be fantastic. My dad died peacefuly @ 72 years old, with his entire family arround him, both foster kids and grand kids. He and my step mother (who I loved dearly) both in their 60's, helped refugees and 14 or 15 foster kids. They took in 3 brothers, (the youngest one was only 5 years old), who had lost their parents in car accident. So if someone was good hearted and loving, it was my foster mum and my dad. If there's a GOD, I think GOD will see it wize to kneel before my dad, because I don't think GOD will stand any chance there. My dad will grab him by the hair and throw him down the stairs if he misbehave. I'm an atheist, of course:)))))))))))))))))) I learned that I'm my self closest and I don't need a monster GOD, to guide me thrue life, I know what's right and wrong. So then to read what you wrote here "A true beliver will never do harm to innocent people" is such horrible monstrous lie. Of course they will, it's a certainty they will. They are religious people. They truly believe, that they are better then everyone else, because of their fantasy and delusions of grandeur. GOD is a lie and religion is such a satanic way to indoctrinate people into that lie. I have a free will and I have my GODS, my GODS and super-heroes are my Father, mother and step-mother. And with this I don't need religious morality to tell me to not do harm to others, I KNOW THAT. I'm really uncertain if religious people have the same moral compass and knowledge.
I really like the way this guy reads . He isn’t acting or being dramatic and basically annoying, he’s just stating the stories as they read. Much better than someone sounding like a game show host
@Sand Hanitizer I enjoy that channel as well but I think it makes it easier for some viewers to watch with some comical relief. Binging crime cases can effect people mentally so That Chapter is a good page for the softer folks
Star Acri, he really liked the way this guy read. This guy, he was reading things in a way that wasn't dramatic, or basically annoying. A gameshow host, they would not read well.
This is the first time I have really got into this case due to this young man's clear explanation. I have tried for months on other channels but without any luck.
