I really love this song, it has a dark, psychedelic, late in the evening type of feeling. In my opinion, this song is a reflection of how Jim Morrison felt in the world. He felt strange, like a stranger nobody understood. Nobody treated him quite like. Normal person, but he knew he was strange and he knew he was different, people treat you strange when they don't understand you, and that's what Jim Morrison is trying to say.

Jim definitely was a poet that made him a brilliant rockstar that we weren’t ready for. I’ve been listening and watching and diving into Michael Hutchence and INXS. I find parallels. I’ve sat on those circular ledges countless times having lunch or a quick coffee break. I had no idea until just now, watching a different video about EdSullivan and entertainers who didn’t get along. Of course the Doors were one such group and they had about a 5 second clip of this in the background. I recognized it immediately did a RU-vid search for Doors video plus the background building and here I am. I was there 22 years after them. It’s just a fun fact for me is all, but for 35 years I had no idea.
