It's both partners' job to make sure both of them are getting good instruction and practice while drilling/sparring/etc. Don't go too hard or soft, just enough to feel some force & pressure. Make sure the drills/movements are done correctly. Be respectful and humble. Enjoy and have fun, if you can.

Maybe... Depending on the gym culture, their personal characteristics, and outside influences. I've seen kids like that, become something I'm still proud to remember. I saw a lot that burned out in various ways, as well(Many of which, I'm proud of for finding their way) Some were resentful, as well. I hope those kids turn out great though; martial arts or not! The girl will have tons of "uncles" looking out for her, but everyone who has kids training ,*pay attention!*!! Make sure they aren't being taken advantage of, in any way. If they are successful, or otherwise appealing folks might try to isolate them from their family, don't let that happen to your kids or in your gym! That's often where the worst things happen
@TreyYork1
@TreyYork1 2 года назад
@@theawesomest2850 I love that! I love what a good gym can do for a girl like that. That said, folks should keep an eye out for her, *in the gym*! I'm not specifically talking about these folks, but a gym where the culture isn't keeping an eye out and isn't comfortable speaking up... the child's biggest threat by far is, from within the gym-- statistically speaking. If you see something weird, speak up! Get to the bottom of it! If folks, "just don't talk about something", and you don't stand up-- you're culpable and that gym isn't going to help you fight, you don't have the courage. Again, don't associate that with Tomlinson! I'm just speaking real truth. A disfunctional gym can appear, at first, just as respectable as this, but if folks are paying attention, they'll see the difference. Whatever gym you are in, keep an eye out for the kids of they are around and on who is responsible for them
