Exactly^^. You DO NOT get it. My bf was in a very similar situation, his “friends” shot him up without his consent while he was really fucked up on Xanax. He couldn’t do anything about it. He got really bad after that.. he was already struggling deeply with Xanax addiction…. It wasn’t a choice. He was so out of it and his brain wasn’t working properly, he couldn’t / wasn’t functioning properly. He ended up getting hooked on heroin, and that was the begging of a long struggle of various drugs, heroin and Xanax being his DOC(s?). (Thank god he’s okay & over a year clean-after a short-ish relapse-now.) Shit like this happens way too often. My stepdad was at a party when he was younger, where a group of presumably drunk/high guys injected this drunk guy that was passed out, with heroin, because they thought it’d be funny. He overdosed that night. This is a common thing that gets people addicted and fucked on drugs. Your comment reeks of ignorance and uneducation.

I know this family in real life. She actually was homeless multiple times, and wasn’t allowed to come back home. Her family definitely did not spoil her. She has been sober for a little more than 2 years now! And has a beautiful 1 year old boy. She’s doing amazing.

That’s true to some extent but all your barriers go down when you take Xanax so you’re more than likely to say yes to heroin if it’s offered. Sometimes you don’t even remember it

This literally happened to my bf. He was too fucked up to do anything about it and his “friends” used heroin & Xanax, and thought he’d wanna do it too. They shot him up and he was really messed up on xans so he was too out of it to stop them. This shit happens all the time.. that’s not even the first time I’ve heard or known someone who had that happen to them or who knew someone / saw someone who had that happen to them (but obviously not always xanax and heroin involved). I know it might seem unlikely (though tbh it’s 100% possible and logical), but it’s true. Sometimes people might do it as a joke/cuz they think it’d be funny, and sometimes they want their friend to feel as good / the same high. Regardless of the reason, it’s totally plausible and happens more often than you think.

@@ianschory2757 exactly. You’re not right, on Xanax. And most people forget most of their “high” depending on how much they take.. you can’t say you “guarantee” someone’s experience didn’t happen to them unless you A) lived it, or B) was there with them. So ignorant- if I’m being honest..

@@cook6462 I think they mean her taking Xanax and someone shooting her up involuntarily. Then she was a non stop addict. I’m sorry yes it can take once but anyone who had surgery or had an accident who got iV meds would also be in that same position. It sounds unlikely and addicts lie and she sounds like she’s blaming her addiction on someone else

I don’t agree with that- I think you can even have a perfect life with no trauma, and use just to party or fit in. Some drugs just have that affect and are highly addictive-(some say after first use)- you like it so well you wanna do it again- next thing you know you’re addicted.

They need for her to go on her own. And dont soporther let her hit skidroad and thats the only way she will leard just pray for her once she realises she on her own and don't have no ones help it will make her apresheate her famaly and maybe she woud try to kick that habit its not easy to see someone you love go trouh something like that or takeher to a methodone program .it has to come out of her to get tired of living in that way .ill be praying for them .Godbless.that was the only way it help me ive been free now for 16 year thank God.

it's called Dopamine. It's like having a supercharged amount not produced in this natural world, and then telling the part of our brain that tells us when to eat, sleep, or reproduce - to stop. It is hell but it is heaven at first all wrapped up in an evil package. I got addicted because of genetics and the prescriptions I was given though, so it's not uncommon for you to be an unlucky few who is predisposed to addiction, handed pain pills, and suddenly years later your life is out of your control. I am proud to say I have overcome this many a times, but I want to be here as a learning lesson and to help people like you understand more and maybe there can be less judgement in the world.

thank you very much. This time I have a year to beat (my last record) which I think is pretty decent for someone in their early 20s... I have sadly no friends my age who can stay sober long enough to stay in my life... and I fear for them so much I'm actually shocked they're all alive.

There's only so much you can do as a parent. When a drug addict kid is stealing, killing family relations and causing unhealthy situations for the family, a lot of times it's best to kick them out of the house. They have other family members to protect. The mother will still love her, but you have to draw the line somewhere. By kicking them out, you may make it extremely difficult for them to get the assets necessary to trade for heroin.
