A movie that leaves you pretty clueless at first watching - later then you will get hold of all the hidden innuendos and allusions! Brilliant movie by one of the most innovative British filmmaker!
This movie is just a masterpiece !You can clearly sense all the glory of the English culture and you feel like you actually wander around the wonderful gardens of the English countryside in the latest 17th century .All the mystery and and the conspiracies that take place in the the house and the gardens of the story comes to your eyes in the best and the only thing that you can do is let yourself swept away and let the magnificent and also so special Greenaway's narration tells you the tragic story of the contract that Mr Neville set there as a condition for his services .And all of them under the spectacular music of Michael Nyman that makes all the environment seen even more classy and also mysterious !I 've just seen this movie and I loved it !U should all do the same and you won't regret it !So hurry up ! Chasing sheep is best left to shepherds!❤️🇬🇧📜🌳🌳📜🇬🇧❤️
Totally agree. Great looking. Fantastic speaking voice. Real panache. He does appear in a super comedy with Julie Walters called SHE'LL BE WEARING PINK PYJAMAS He is awesome in that too... Lol and of course completely different from Mr Neville Would have loved to have seen more of him
Wow, this old trailer is much much better than the new one (with stupid digital grade and the new sound mix that sucks) and it's like watching a new digital movie. But this old one is so beautiful. I think the modern day doesn't have the right people for the job, for audio, color grades and editing trailers, because they make EVERY SINGLE trailer the same way. Music will stop, before a cheesy line will come, and will show all uninteresting to story expressions. Main word that differentiates new from old, is the Cringe. New is Cringe. Old is perfect. Because of the right people in the right places, who master in their art. Now, it's all about doing it cheap, degrading quality.
