That definitely makes a difference on how you’ll feel about a movie. I was just talking about this recently. No lie. If you marathon a series, chances are you’ll get desensitized, burned out, and won’t appreciate the later sequels as much. You’ll be more likely to appreciate them more if you watch like one a day.

The Greta death was fantastic, but should only be seen in the Uncut version. Love the line "Only the best for Greta!" and by Freddy: "Ahh, "Ala Barbee" "You are what you eat"! Dream Child, Dream Warriors, and the original have to be my top 3 N.O.E.S. favorites.

I worked in a video shop here in the UK back in the day. I used to get alot of pirated stuff like Nightmare 5. I eventually went to the cinema to see it properly and being pissed at the cuts. It came out after on official VHS release uncut. I still have a copy to this day.

Dream Child is my favorite of the NIGHTMARE SERIES. Love the obscure/Gothic style. Love the cast...the best teenagers of them all. From their personalities to their relationships; how Mark is in love with Greta yet Yvonne is in love with him. Greta could have been a shallow/mean girl but she was hilarious and fun. Alice is her best here. The idea to expand on Freddy´s birth and mother. Everything is great! ...the only bad things are (sadly) Freddy´s makeup (the worst one) and the fact that he was too funny in contrast to the content.

Great video Christian Love the Dream Child laserdisc if I had to rank the three movies that came out in 1989 it would be Dream Child first and in second it would be Jason Takes Manhattan and Halloween 5 would be last

Wow! I am blown away by that 720p upscale home brew blu ray! With the special features and retro cover too, too cool. I've been DYING to see an upscaled uncut version of this movie like that - is there any link, dvd, or blu ray around that has that upscaled laserdisc? It'd be greatly appreciated. Love this channel! That DVD box set was the last version of ANOES I bought. I absolutely love it! Still holding out for that definitive Blu-Ray set. Maybe for its 40th next year. Dare to dream! lol

Hey man. Not sure if you remember me but we used to chat horror, especially A Nightmare on Elm Street films and Laserdisc in general a fair bit back in the day when you were first starting out on RU-vid. That Custom Made Blu-Ray of A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child you have with the uncut version of the film sourced from the rare Laserdisc is awesome. Is the Custom Made Blu-Ray in 1.85:1? Because sadly the U.S and Japanese actual Laserdisc releases of The Dream Child have the incorrect aspect ratio, they are cropped in pan & scan to 1.33:1.
