Another point to add from what I see is they use two different boom mics one which is longer, in an indoors situation with noise reflecting off many surfaces it can cut off a lot of the higher frequencies making it sound a bit muddy, so the second shorter mic is a good choice for the audio capture indoors and retains a fuller sound.
