Add more power into your punches using the drop step. Also known as the falling step or just simply dropping your weight, this technique is commonly referred to as "sitting down on your punches".

It really depends on the situation. Keep in mind a lot of the techniques I demonstrate in this video are exaggerated so you can understand the concept. The movement is usually much more subtle in an actual fight. But in general, to avoid the uppercut you can use head movement and keeping your hands near your chin while up close so you can parry or close your guard to block the uppercut. Again, it really depends on the situation but try to remain unpredictable. Thanks for watching

Dear Sir, Your presentation is physically good but mixing the two different concepts namely attack and defense. For your information ancient Chinese martial arts distinguish offensive moves starting with legs and adding body weight ononeside and the defensive moves starting with body followed by legs or just hand. To general knowledge, Jack Demspey, the heavy-weight champ was known for his active boxing, so his hits were initiated by his legs thanks to his extraordinary leg-foot cordination. Addig extraweight to hits by a dropping step dropping was his extra, but , in my humble opinion, not a defensive weaving shown by ou. All in all when replaying thei video, your viewers will appreciate knowing the two concepts: weaving our upper body first is a defensive action started by body, but stepping and hitting is always attack with or without dropping body to generate more power. As a matter of course, high-level boxers like mixing the two motions, such as blcking while hitting, or vice versa. But, methodology helps us knowing the differewnce. Let us not mention the strikes ended as blows or blows turned into strikes , see the 360degree turn bakcfist , etc. Only God knows all the variations. Good health, Best wishes.
