Frederic Weis was infamous for being dunked on by Vince Carter during the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. What happened to him afterwards? Hope you enjoy!

I'm french and I can tell you Weis had a pretty good career after the dunk. He had good seasons in Spain (best league in Europe) where he was top 5 in rebounds three times and number 1 in blocked shots once. He played with the french national team until 2007 in international tournaments and took a big part in winning the bronze medal at the european championship in 2005. Just before the 2000 olympics, he had a great year with the french team Limoges: he won french championship, french cup and a European Cup. Le dunk de la mort affected him but he continues to play at a very interesting level for years. And you're quite tough with him with your choice of footage: we see him very fat and slow but it's clearly after his professional career.

I'm from Spain, the country where Weis played the biggest part of his career. Here is a well remembered player, and I could even say that a beloved one, especially in Bilbao. He was a great defender, professional center, with not many offensive weapons but really disciplined. Maybe he wasn't the player that he "promised" before that dunk -although I think that 15 pick was more another Knicks failure than his fault-, but he had a really good career, considering all the problems that he lived.

Please stop using cheesy titles for your videos. Yes his latter career was affected by personal and family issues. But he still played pro basketball in Europe for 17 years and represented his country in the Olympics. He has achieved more than most of us. Also retiring at 33 is not unusual for pro ballers especially among bigs. I am sure it was not pleasant to be on the other end of VC's iconic dunk. But that DID NOT ruin Frederic's career.

it didn't end his career! this is so sensational. is it the best in game dunk ever? yes. but Weis was not rotation-worthy in the NBA.
