But what i meant is that they could have done so much more with her character, she had a job she liked, she could have had a stable career for some time, mature and grow as a person and then have kids. Instead they put her on the same exact path Claire was on 26 years prior. Im not a fan of this storyline.

Oh my! This is the same thing with society, everyone wants people to end up with someone who is an "upgrade". What should ultimately matter is that the relationship works, and the couple is happy and they are great parents. Dylan is such an amazing compliment to Haley. He worked hard at getting a career.

Andy probably was an exact copy of Phil but that doesn't mean Andy was haleys Phil... Claire didn't like Dylan just like Jay didn't like Phil. Phil and Dylan have parallels. Their both loving and honest and a bit goofy. So even if Dylan isn't an exact copy of Phil there are some parallels between the two and I like that a lot more. In one ep Alex said Andy was exactly like Phil and Haley wasn't so happy with that. Bc it's a bit weird. Yes Andy and Haley were cute but it's always been Dylan, Haley just had to grow up. Bc honestly all the on and off stuff wasn't on Dylans part he was always crazy about her (just like Phil for Claire) but she wasn't ready then yet. That's my take on it anyways Parallels like : Jay saying he found Phil there for the first time as well. Dylan wearing a heart costume when Phil did that for Claire as well (season 6 and episode im not that sure of but probably like 1) And yk the hole thing that Jay didn't like Phil and Claire didn't like Dylan. That Dylan isnt perfect just like Phil isn't perfect. Andy was too perfect and too similar to Phil in my opinion.

Well tbh it's kinda accurate if you think about it, moving out of ur parents house at 18 is kinda a pipe dream now, not even people who got there degrees in college can really afford to move out of their parents house on account that they have loans and the job market isn't very friendly when you don't have experience, no matter if u got the degree or not

Well after they set back her life by having her get back together with Dylan and get pregnant after she was finally doing her own thing it’s not surprising that they’ll have her live there forever

Then got a new bf and more grand babies. The same with my cousins, one moved back in after years on their own to “save for a house” and the other spends some days at her dads and some days at her in laws, traveling to both areas to live.

Haley’s situation is the most disappointing

The show was coasting in its last seasons but the sneeze joke is brilliant for it's self-awareness of the cliche.

Honey, this is life. you can't have a perfect life with a perfect job and a perfect boyfriend. She didn't wanna get pregnant, it was a mistake. And Dylan is achieving many things. He was a nurse by the end of show. Even if both of them aren't perfect, They still love each other and is happy with where they are.
