"The Dying Swan" Maya Plisetskaya Age 62 - Boston 

I saw her perform it live in 1962. I was 12. I remember it vividly. I don't remember a thing about the rest of the evening, except that afterwards, in the lobby, none of the adults talked about anything else.

In 1966 my fiancé and I were thrilled to attend Swan Lake with Maya Plisetskaya as principal dancer at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver during the Bolshoi’s visit. Celebrating 56 years of marriage this week and still cherish that memorable evening.

She was definitely 62. I was one of the Producers of the event and I looked up her birthdate. She danced full length ballets as part of the festival including Anna Karenina which was almost 3 hours long. She was dancing for most of it. She was truly amazing.

One of the best performances ever! She doesn't seem to have bones in her arms. That was her signature everytime she performed it. We are watching a real swan approaching it's death. And ultimately...passing away! In a most dignified and beautiful way it can ever be!!!💎❤️🙏🌹

Wow, that's just stupendous. It made me cry. I could really see the swan, fighting to live. This is the only version of The Dying Swan that I think compares with Anna Pavlovas, which is also tear-inducing.

This ballerina looks absolutely ageless, I mean her body and her strength. But the great artistry has come with age. Her dance now is more touchy and more perfect that it had been 20-30 years ago in her career. I recall, watching this clip, Elina Macropulos from the famous play of Carrel Capec "The remedy of Macropulos" - the woman who had mastered singing more than anybody else on the earth because she had had the opportunity to live for 300 years without being touched by aging.

Such grace, elegance, posture and skill at 62? Beyond belief... Thank you very much for sharing!

I confirm her age as well, I was also there writing for a local paper. The longer intermissions allowed her to rest between acts, but otherwise, there was no discontinuity between her dancing and the company's always-high standards.

62 - incredible. Beautiful! I also applauded in front of my PC screen. Actually, a few years before this recorded video, I also saw her on the stage in Japan. This reminded me of her great performance at that time.

Wonderful to see this great artist still performing, and beautifully, when many would have retired. I was lucky enough to see her in "Sleeping Beauty" when the Bolshoi visited the US in the early 1960s. A life of dedication to ballet!
