Good vid as usual mate. I don't bother opening the switch wiring up, its an unnecessary step. Also I spray the rubber fan case with silicone spray which means I can rotate the motor into place easily. I do about one of these a week.
I always remove the spinal cord as it just makes it easier when it's on the floor! I use bubble solution for the motor as it dried fairly harmlessly and is mega slippy! Used to use a smear of grease, then I had one back a year later for a new motor and it was a mess!
You made very heavy weather of getting the motor out it's casing and damaged the rubber cowling. If you get a 36mm ? bit of waste pipe, about 4 inches long, you can place over the spindle and push the motor and rubber cowling out very easily. Replacing I use some washing up liquid and a G clamp once nearly back in. Thanks for the video 73's M6APJ
I personality think that dyson Motors don’t survive as long in water when if you compare it to a cheap vacuums motor it will survive longer than a dyson my personal opinion.
Wish I have a working Dyson but my one is cracked on the spine both filters are broken cyclone is broken so it needs tape on it motor gets hot after like 3 to 5 mins use
