Levi had a great game last game for Amerks with 60 saves. But then flashbacks make me realize UPL did the same thing for Sabres and they could not score. This is what is going on with Amerks. They cannot score. This is also why I'm sure Kulich is not making it to the NHl anytime soon as he is invisible on the ice when he doesn't have the puck.
I'm more focused on the Amerks, very surprised at how Syracuse has kept them in check with the trap type system that reminds me of the Devils when Scott Stevens and Brodeur were the leaders on that team. Levi has been outstanding, 60 saves through two overtime periods Thursday but they couldn't get very much sustained pressure on Syracuse. I hate rooting for the Gooins!
Amerks update: series is tied with last 3 games in nail biter overtime’s. Levi playing great, Rosen is so fast, hits, takes a hit to make a play he is ready for the NHL, Nikita Novikov is a huge D man who hits, blocks shots, sticks up for teammates and has very good skills is my pick for a guy who is a Roamy favorite. Kulich is not doing much, he’s like Olloffson, just stands around waiting for a pass, his effort is better than Mitch Marner’s but still not good enough. Ryan Johnson can’t shoot, can’t pass, never hits, doesn’t block shots, but he can skate, no thanks on him in Buffalo we already have his twin brother Bryson. Enough with the soft as mink fur players. If you can’t score you better do something else. Ostlund didn’t play this game, he’s young and learning but highly skilled, Wahlberg is 18 years old, has great effort, he’s learning, both these guys and Savioe(still on junior team playoffs) will need full AHL seasons next year.
I dont get why goalies split games... It is the least physical position. They rest of the players play all year and get hit multiple times a game and skate for miles each night while the goalie hardly moves in comparison. So putting Ullmark or any lesser goalie in for the goalie to rest to me is stupid.
Hoping for TO to take this tonight they deserve it. The TO/Fla would be great but somehow I'm still more excited for Canucks/Oilers. RIP Nashville I wish they could have been up against another team. Those guys played incredible hockey, unreal talent and coaching on both teams in that series.
Cant believe how bad the hockey is in the Boston Laffs series and also how badly Washington and NYI played ! Teams cant complete two passes in a row! Also how are JVR & Patrick Maroon still in the league? Have to say if Adams had fired Daycare Donny in Dec our Sabres wouldve made the playoffs and done better than Washington or NYI! Go Dallas Go on Sunday!
