Did he really just put a side window on a pc with no cable shroud? This is blasphemy. The sight of all these ugly cables and then adds rainbow throw up as well. It looked good when you painted it white but that was the only decent aesthetic.
Bro, I am so lucky I found your channel. Your budget PC builds inspired me to build my own PC. Thank you for all the hard work and effort you put into your videos.
Note for the spray paint: Don't aim at the case when you're initially starting the spray. Spay cans always spit out a few uneven thick drops before the propellant does it's thing properly.
I sell auto paint. Can confirm this. Also do not use the cheapest you can find. Stick to Krylon. I can also make custom colors in cans. Just go to an Oreilys with a paint department.
Bro you are so inspirational, and I love that you talk so professionally. I hope you continue to enjoy making content. Because I think I speak for most people, you're entertaining and you have similar experiences that a lot of people face if they have been watching you for a while. They know what I mean by this and no disrespect to. Keep it up. And thanks for being who you are!!!
@@OzTalksHW Bro, you're wise beyond your years and the fact that you acknowledge, your followers makes you so humble and you don't even know how this reply has made me feel. Thank you for your generosity and I appreciate it.
I honestly JUST built my buddy almost exactly this. I just used an old rx 470 miner card with gaming bios (bought it for $70) instead of a 1650 and undervolted it slightly where it didn't affect performance at all. Of course I added an SSD as well. EXACT same case and everything except without the tempered glass, etc. for $275 Edit: I had to take apart the GPU's fan and cut it in half to make it fit in the case and mounted the fan that was preventing the card from fitting to increase airflow in the case. It stays VERY cool in there with just one fan, it was an MSI Armor
@@kevinsj99 Interesting you say that when I know a friend with an MSI Armor 580 and it regularly hits 80+C. I wonder if the 580 is just too much for the cooler.
"Hey Guys...". AustinTalksHW? Just an fyi, the 1650 has the previous gen NVENC not the updated and much improved Turing NVENC. That starts with the 1650 Super. Either way, this came out looking great!
I love these economic budget builds, we're also saving the planet from ewaste and getting really good usage out of some office computers that'd normally just go to waste. Good for the planet, good for the wallet!
Keep it up, Oz. The tech sphere needs more guys like you keeping us in check. Everyone is so focused on mega high end rigs that are overkill almost 100% of the time, you always have well structured videos that are informative and really help show amazing value for your dollar. Especially for us in the working class.
I built a gaming pc using this exact model a couple of months ago (also painted it but it is in a black and metallic green theme). I used an i5 2500S, 8gb of ram, an rx 460 4gb and a 500gb hdd. The objective was to have something decent for as cheap as possible (I got the pc for free with no cpu and hdd, a few clicks on aliexpress and I had everything I wanted). I wish I could share pictures here haha
This is an awesome idea, I built my personal computer a few months ago investing into my youtube and streaming and after I began growing my mother has expressed interest into getting back into blogging and even vlogging. As soon as I can afford it I think im going to build her something similar to this but budget will be a tad higher since I will also need to get her all the accessories and monitor etc to go with it. Great video sir!
I build one similar on my channel but a sff build I really like the build you built. It really shows that people don’t need a lot of money to pc game:)
I've got two itx versions of these, paid £40 for both, ripped out the standard venting and put a fan on the heatsink which was stuck on the venting, chucked a graphics card and some more ram and a solid machine!!
That's one cool looking PC. Props for spreading love towards used pc parts and entry budget pc's. They also deserve home and love. I adopted an 3470, 8GB DDR3 with a GTX 780 3GB and were best friends ever since.
This is best way to get into pc gaming. Once my motherboard fried in my Dell optiplex I had the confidence to build my own. Deff got my use outta that Dell for 4 yrs plus getting familiar with parts helped with process
so i just found your channel and is like the best thing since slice bread. music , skills , well and very organized videos . I'm like going thru all your stuff . All i can say is Thank you.
I was gonna ask if you wanted some free old parts I have lining around, but after that intro, I think you need a real blanket and pillows for your bed more than some old 775 and AM3 systems.
Oof, no wonder he was happy with Asus sponsoring him with just a Strix 2060 with 6gb instead of the current era 2060 Super with 8gb. But hey, I get it, hes not as big as Linus or the others. But man, that hit me in the feels, I dont even sleep in my bed usually as I have a pretty comfortable recliner that I prefer sleeping in, but my bed still has a nice big comforter and TWO big comfy pillows and it's just a Full size as well, although I do have a 3" memory foam topper and the mattress itself is 'Plush' too. Man, I'm not even rich, but im sure I could find him a decent enough blanket and 2 pillows for $75 or less.
Yooo I've been watching for some time now. Ever since I started watching you, I was playing on an integrated graphics laptop with 8gb DDR3 ram. Nice to see you again
Hey man! Just wanted you to know that I really enjoy your builds. Love repurposed hardware. It's good for all of us. You do good work. Also big sponsor, nice.
@@H31MU7 I mean it's so cheap though, do you really have anything to lose? Lmao. Nah, I have a high end system myself, but I'm so particular about cleaning IT, I do so once a month at least, that if i bought something like this, i wouldn't be able to use it UNLESS i took it apart to clean it lol. I know how other people are, I know how they smoke around their consoles/electronics without care. I'm also kinda a chainsmoker, I smoke at least 1 an hour or so, but i do NOT do it around my electronics, or even in my house for that matter, but someone else may not care at all, and may sit blowing their smoke out DIRECTLY into the machine without even having a 2nd thought. And then they sell it, because it 'just stopped working' or whatever, when in reality it's just usually the dust is so built up that that's why it stopped, or they were such heavy smokers that it's too tarred up to start lmfao. HAVE to clean ps4s/xbox1s all the time from smokers and gamers who just never took apart a system in their lives, cause I've gotten some bad dust/dirt/hair/tar/dead roach infested consoles in my life.
Everything about this video was pleasing. The music, the jokes, and the end result of the pc. I think the only thing I would have changed is maybe some thin white trim tape or rubber around the window to hide the magnets and probably painting the inside too. But that's just extra extras. Turned out awesome!
Hey man, I found this channel recently and have been binging your videos. I appreciate your work. Folks think building a PC is complicated and expensive- its not. Many more get absolutely scalped by pre-builts online from Amazon or Origin or something when they could build (or retrofit) something much, much cheaper. Doing these videos in a way that is educating, clean content wise, and without arrogance or tearing down of other tubers or manufacturers is so refreshing- and giving glory to God in the process is just such a huge thing to see today. Just want to say I appreciate the content and keep it coming!
This is the first video I have watched of yours. while not really applicable to me personally, a very enjoyable video and I had to sub just for your voice, demeanor, and candour
I actually enjoy these types of videos, I'm planning on building my first EVER PC and I'm kind of nervous if I mess it up, but these types of videos are extremely formative and helpful!
That case paint job + using magnets to attach a custom acrylic side panel is the coolest shit I've seen in my life. I've been selling used PC's for awhile and I'm sitting here feeling like an idiot thinking about how I never thought of that.
To anyone watching this video with the intention of doing this for themselves I want to say that it is totally possible and super easy! I did it myself for a Christmas present for my daughter. My cost was closer to around $360 without the LEDS, magnets, and plexiglass. I had to pay a premium for the graphics card (opted for the OC edition), because it was near Christmas. Paid around $200 for it, but it was still around $100 less than other cards at the time. So timing matters! I still paid about $150 less than a new ps5 and the fps on Fortnite was @130. We're going to add an Xbox controller for wireless gaming and will pay around $400 total for a better more capable gaming system that works well for other applications too. Thanks Oz!
I built this PC end of 2020. That was probably the last time where you could get a 1650 super at 150€. The PC i bought from ebay for 240€. I also added a SSD and 16GB ram for like 120 more so ended at 530 or something like that. I could definitely play and do anything I wanted to do with it and it’s still fast. This also made me confident in building PCs and I built my first PC from the ground up last month. The 500€ PC is going to my mom who recently broke her own and I’m sure its gonna be a significant upgrade. Thx dude!
I was looking for a good cheap gaming pc and I got your video on my home recommended and I can say you're a really underrated tech youtuber your comedic parts are funny af 😂
Dude, you just saved me tons of cash! I didn't know about the sata to 6 pin adapter and i was about to buy a new psu, but now 3 dollars and a gtx 1650 super and i'm set! Thank you so much!
I find Oz a refreshing change from pc jurnos stating $400 is an entry level GPU. Oz brings the love to low budget and 'everyman' pc gaming. My fist 'gaming' pc was a Dell optiplex SFF with a low profile gt730. I knew nothing about pc building then but it taught me a lot. The generic PSU was the break point. Thanks Oz.
Gaming for the rest of us, Thanks man I've been running a rig similar to this for the past 8 years, machine is 12 years old now and I'm only just now thinking of upgrading.
I recently got myself a Dell Optiplex OEM office computer with a Pentium 4 and I installed a Radeon X800 and Windows XP to play all the classic games from that era. I play games on that thing more often than I do on my i7-9700K rig.
love the white look and acrylic side panel, my only suggestion is to paint a one inch boarder in white on your side panel for that manufactured look to hide the metal frame and to paint the interior frame as well.
If you want/need more cores, look into the Dell Precision 3500/3600 series. They run Xeons for around $30 to $50 more used with 400 watt or 600 watt PSUs, so you can replace the Firepro or Quadro that comes with a newer powerful card. Big enough for most cards, but the power cable might push against the side panel.
Not gonna lie, when I first read the title of this video I laughed. After watching it and seeing exactly how you pulled it off, it really does seem plausible. Amazing video, keep it up!
Well done Oz! I'm a 40something new geek in South Africa using an HP600 G1 I got for $20 and this video is great inspiration to make it look really slick! Keep it up mate!
I absolutely love your channel! I've been binge-watching, thank you for these chill af vids. They've really helped me get through these difficult times!
