i guess im asking randomly but does anyone know of a way to log back into an instagram account..? I was stupid lost my login password. I would love any tricks you can offer me!
@Larry Hugh i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Still useful info after several years. I have used jenga blocks for walls and such, but using it to make cool furniture never occurred to my thick skull. I'm definitely going to do this.
Man. Scotty I gotta tell you this: most people just show me how to craft, but you taught me how to improvize. Since I am not in America, I don't have the same materials. However, I keep scavenging and finding little things that can be other things when painted. Thanks so much for that
The first two times I was in my new Dollar Tree they didn't have these, store was pretty new so may not have had them in yet..I went in just yesterday for some aluminum foil and lo and behold..they had these..only two boxes left so I picked up a box having remembered seeing another vid by Scotty about how to use these cheap Jenga blocks to make a four poster bed..I'M READY TO CRAFT, I got my blocks, my popsicle sticks, and my Elmer's school glue ready to go.
Scotty! You blow my mind!! This is ultra cool and easy to make! I think for at least the table, i would saw it a little bit to make "real" planks effect but wow man! You are just a genius!
I've seen those blocks every time I'm in my local Dollar Tree but never thought they could be more than heavy crates. Man!! cardboard cut-out glued to make a door or drawer. You kill me with the simplicity of your ideas! AWESOME!! Going to go buy some tonight.
Really cool! For easy score lines, like if you wanted to carve out the wood panels, use a ruler and hardibacker cutting knife. It has a carbide tip that scores out a good deep line.
Absolutely love this! I've been watching a lot of your videos and have been making what I can with the techniques you showed :D I used a batch of those mini jenga blocks to make a bunch of furniture using these tips ^^ Thanks so much! It'lll be great to use these in my game ^^
A simple trick for putting stuff on your table is to use a piece of card stock that simulates the top of the table, furniture, ect with objects glued to it. That way, you can swap them out easy and the stuff dosen't knock over or need to be set up each time. The same table can be used for people eating, playing cards, having documents spread out or you can leave it empty.
i found this very set at dollar store and I am making furniture :) Working on an altar with the addition of some craft sticks and sheet foam, a desk and the items you made in this video. Thanks so much!!!
That can`t be simpler! I showed this video to my 12-year daughter and she loved it... Awesome technique and great result... Let me ask you something, have you ever thought about giving craft workshops? like 2 or 3-day workshops... That would be great and I would do my best to be in one of those (even being a Brazilian)
Hey Scotty, I’ve been crafting for a year and a half now and coming back to furniture when I found your video. I was preparing to do some intricate thing out of all the different pieces of wood, but your stuff in this video is so simple and good looking and I have to wonder if I wanna do with the long way or the faster way and still have satisfying results either way.
My take is that if it looks good and you take short cuts I will always take the shortcut. Also remember that the way you see minis and terrain in closeup is not the way people see them at the table. They are sitting 2-3 feet away and the human eye can only see so much detail at that range.
I hadn't even looked at this video yet and I bought a box of these last night thinking this would make for some easy mini crafting! Great minds think alike.
Definitely just subscribed to your channel. Your content is unbelievably amazing. Everything always looks fantastic, and its all so inexpensive and easy (for the most part) to make. I'm about to craft everything under the sun.
These are also handy if you just keep some of them flat black. That way if you need something you haven’t made yet, like a door, a bed, an alter or whatever you can stack or lay them down in different ways and improvise what they are supposed to represent then you at least have something physical on the table. (Also good to simulate internal walls)
Scotty, as always great video. i know im late to this video (by 19 months) but im stealing this idea. I have tables and a few chairs but i see a few tower block games in my future.

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that your link for the beads is to one that is sold out, so you might see if you can switch your affiliated link to one that is in stock ^.^ Don't want you to miss out on any support! And of course thank you for all the awesome ideas!
Great idea, I tried but the blocks are too big relative to my minis so it looks like a giants dresser lol, they are also good to make pillars and crates though
6:43 You should have put a door on the left side for the upper half. No one ever puts drawers above chest height, waist height is the typical max height you will ever see a drawer.
usually true but even old cabinets will have head height+ drawers, rooms were small so space was needed, normally used stackable 2pc units with one set drawers(bottom) open/door cabinet top
I was looking at the blocks you were using, and I'm wondering if they're some kind of "Mini Jenga" blocks, because all my Jenga blocks are 1"x9/16"x 3"!! Way too huge for benches or cabinets, but I can make a buttload of tables out of 'em... I might try columns too.
They all look great! I'm just wondering, did you base coat the furniture with watered down paint or just applied the paint as it was? I've found that it's pretty difficult to paint cardboard with watered down acrylic paint because the paint won't stick, so I usually just use a dry sponge for the base coat.
Very cool on those benches seems like you would of done a skinny piece at the top to simulate the boards that make the seat part. Other then that solid crafting. Craft on.
Well if you're thinking like me then rest assured you are a genius! Are you new to Scotty's channel? If you are yes you are in for quite a treat. Check out Miniature Mash Up also if you want some easy cheap ways to craft up your D&D world. And of course DMGinfo, Whylock, and Black Magic Crafting. Dungeons and Gluesticks, The Crafting Muse, Runehammer, Quassi's Bell Tower, Lukes Aps, Luke Towan, Blandco, Red Beard Baron and I'm forgetting a whole mess of other fantastic crafters I'm sure.
Can you do a video of how to make mini terrain piece out of an empty paint container? I have no idea what to do with my empty containers and want to make something cool out of them.
I had an old jenga set, the blocks were way to big for this use. I found a smaller set at he dollar store yesterday but compared to my standard issue minis it seems the furniture pieces will be still quite a bit larger scale that what yours look like in comparison to your minis. Are you using a larger scale mini, or are your jenga blocks just extra small?
My daughter loves Barbie babies and LOL little sisters. Both of which are tiny, less than 2 inches long I'd say. If you can and don't care, please do a demonstration on how to make a little baby bed or bassinet for these little dolls. Please and thanks!
@@theDMsCraft I'll look there, thanks! I've searched online but its expensive and haven't had much luck in the toy sections of stores. I never even thought about party favors. I greatly appreciate it!
For free, go to your local cabinet shop and ask for scraps, they got , 1,2 , and three inch milled pieces in various widths all day long from cutting off ends for face frames.
Holy cow thats smart! ive seen those fake jenga game at the dollar store juste yesthurday! Now i regret not buying them, im gonna have to go back and buy 1 or 2 set. Fantastic crafting simpler is better
DMScotty is out of ideas so no person ever! Just when I think you've got to be at the end of ideas, you come up with ideas like this that are simple, functional, AND look good. Yes, the minimalism makes it fit into any scenario and possible to use over and over. Frankly, I am just floored with your ideas and none of them ever really require anything expensive. Furniture, as a subset of dungeon dressing, can be a struggle and the usual way to mitigate means $$$. Please consider making a vid or two with room/dungeon setups with a combo of the many items you've made. Reference the videos to these in the notes below. Anyway, some food for thought that'd be very useful and tie in this video and many others, even some from long ago. Once again, SUPER JOB! #SMScottyRules
Can also use them as stoppers for potion bottles made from larger beads Can use them as apples or vegtables use a thin piece of paper or thread jammed in them painted green to add to the effect.
