Today, I am making an easy potato slow cooker recipe. Thee are one of the easiest tender potatoes you'll make. These potatoes are seasoned to perfection and have a creamy tender texture.
Welcome to the Simply Mamá Cooks RU-vid Channel! I am a Mom to a blended Korean / Mexican American family who loves to share what I cook in my home. I am still learning and enjoying the process of making home-cooked food.

I have never done those crockpot potatoes and I have been cooking a long time. Man, those would have been good when the kids were all playing sports and we were going to all directions. I love fried chicken, you don't have to ask me twice. Your Abuelita taught you well.

I knew the garnish was parsley, but I love the addition of chives, and even citrus zest as an alternative.

I wish I could have reached in for a plate! Both dishes are amazing! That's how I was taught to fry chicken. No egg washy for me, lol. Just seasoning and some flour. It comes out crispy and delicious every time! We can thank our grandmothers for that. And sooo good!

I was thrilled to see you frying bone in Chicken!! You even cut it up!!! People just don’t do that anymore!! Young people think chickens are tenders with no bones or a boneless breast. While those are delicious, NOTHING beats fried chicken from home!! My favorite way is to put some S, P Garlic and onion powder and then a few shakes of Louisiana hot sauce or Tabasco, just enough to give the raw chicken some color, and stick it in the fridge for a few hours, take it out, let the chill come off, take a gallon bag, add flour S&P and toss my chicken pieces, a few at a time until all are covered in the flour. Then I do mine in a cast iron skillet that I have filled about 1/4 up the side with oil. I use Crisco, lard or Canola oil or vegetable oil, they all work. I do a test with a few drops of flour and if it dances, it is ready. Med to med high. I’m like you, I fry it about 5-7 minutes per side, to a golden brown, then put a lid on it for about another 5-6 minutes, flipping 1 time in the middle of that time. I drain very well on paper towels, and I lightly salt it as soon as I put it on the paper towel. This is old fashioned fried chicken, and it’s delicious!! And it’s good hot, room temperature or cold too!! I have been told it’s the best chicken people have ever eaten. My MIL always fried Buttermilk chicken and it was delicious, but I could never get it right. My coating would always get too crunchy. Anyway, I was really excited to see you really frying chicken, it looked wonderful!! And I can’t wait to try your potato recipe!! Love your channel!!!❤

Your abuela and my mother did chicken the same way: with their heart AND years & years of experience. Best chicken evvver! And THEN (cause we live in WV and EVERYTHING has sauce on it) she'd drain out all that oil and she'd add bacon grease and make gravy!! Ohhhh how I miss my mom ANNND her cooking!!!

can the potatoes be also done on a stove top?

I think if you boil them in salted water until fork tender. Melt the butter and mix all the dry seasonings together and coat the potatoes. I think this could work. 😊
