You have the ability to inspire. Many can show ‘how’ but few can make us want to run to the shop and start making sawdust! Extremely enjoyable channel!

Hey brother much love from australia, I seen this video a few times i love the ideas and i am just getting into wood work, I am a painter and decorator by trade and have worked heaps with wood but never built or designed. I seen that ass of a bloke say in one of the comments that you put wood workers to shame and you made a video about it, you know the magnet expert that wasnt a magnet expert, Anyway i wanna say you clearly dont give wood workers a bad name because your work speaks for itself, your channel speaks for itself, your subs speak for themselves, your online store speaks for itself, and your kindness and personality speaks for itself and your respectfulness speaks for itself, but even if that dude wasnt impressed, You have inspired me in many ways, you have given me things to think about and have helped me get out of a depressive rut buy being more active and thinking about wood work. Thank you brother for you being you, you give more away then wood working knowledge and great designs, You give peace to a depressed mind, you give hope to a future because i want to make wood working a part of my future hobby then hopefully career , you help give me drive, So i just want to say thank you very much brother for so much more then i can explain in writing, but in short, thank you for being you

Brother it is my absolute pleasure. The fellow that commented that and I have buried the hatchet and he was very humble when proven 3/4 wrong . The other 1/4 he was not proved wrong is the right to have his own opinion . So that being said it’s because of viewers like you that I do what I do , I realize that woodworking is my sanctuary and has helped me in many ways and just want to share my joy and passion and to have a genuine audience that appreciate the craft as I do is so rewarding ! Thank you so very much for your kind words and I have no doubt that you will reach success of heights not expected brother , “ you don’t have to be great to start , but you have to start to be great “ skäl 🫡

@@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks Good to hear when he was shown wrong he was humble, nit many now days can admit fault. Thank you for your kind words brother, I am really looking forward to getting into this, I have just bought my beginners tools which were ones you suggested in other videos haha thanks again, and I have chosen some of you videos and designs to try first. If I manage to make some good ones and sell some I'll buy you a case of beer from some where in america and have it shipped ( case of beer is usually aussie currency in these situations ). Thanks again and much appreciated

Congratulations on the RU-vid award! Thank you for all the information you share. I have a question. Should you stay away from using Pressure Treated fence pickets in your projects for indoor decor??
@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks
@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks 7 месяцев назад
I would stay away , although as long as you let them dry out from the treatment moisture , and then apply some finish to them you should be good , I usually go for the yellow pine or “fur” and the cypress or cedar pickets

Another great video. Recently started (planning?) my woodworking journey. With the shelves (or othr stuff that hangs) can you show in the future how they are mounted? Especially as it relates to the hardware on the project itself. I looked at the links but cant really figure out how the Axe Sickles work on those shelving units (if thats the proper hardware). Thanks for your time.

What did you use for mounting hardware? Seems too narrow for sawtooth and I imagine a keyhole slot won't work if you build the angled shadowbox.

How do I make a jig to make a 70 degree angle cut on a 1×2 18 inches long with a 13 degree angle cut on the bottom then after the 70 degree cut make another 13 degree cut at the top
@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks
@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks 3 месяца назад
That’s a tough one to try and explain via text . Take a 1x4 and tape it to your miter saw across the whole saw up against the fence , take your miter to the left and cut a 45° cut and then spin miter saw to opposite 45° and make that cut , making sure your 1x4 doesn’t move , then take your miter back to 0° and then bed your piece you want to cut into the cuts you made on the 1x4 and turn your miter to 25° and make the cut and that should be a 70°
