Yes, a woman after my own heart. Most food is so damn bland you might as well not be eating it. I look at recipes for spice cake that call for a 1/2 tsp of cinnamon or 1/4 tsp of clove and taste the batter and you can't taste it at all so I typically triple it, but I just eyeball. I also make my own mason jars of mixed spices with different profiles (Italian, French, Mexican, Indian, Thai) and throw handfuls in. It's the spice of life.

Why would anyone put a thumbs down on this incredible young lady? She's inventive, energetic, and full of good ideas and recipes. The way she prepares the day before and then continues the next day to put things together makes it look so easy. I know a lot of thinking and preparation goes into one of these freezer meal videos. Not following a recipe, even if it's in front of me, is how I cook. Nothing tastes the same way twice. Thank you for showing how freezer meals can be doable.

Becoy you should be proud of yourself for the amazing meals you prepare for you and your husband. This is exactly how I prepared meals ahead when my husband and I were raising our 2 kids and my father in law. I also led our womens ministry where twice a year each person submitted a recipe with detailed ingredients. I shopped in bulk and packaged all ingredients x3 to allow each lady to prepare 3 casseroles or meat with veggies. Next the ladies met me at church picked up their ingredients, went home cooked their 3 meals returned with their meals freezer ready. The recipe and cooking instructions were placed on top Long story not short we filled our large freezer to capacity with amazing meals When a church member or visitor was hospitalized had a baby or needed a little extra love we took turns delivering the frozen meals to meeded persons That ministry blessed me and our ladies ten fold God bless you and your ministry. You are AMAZING!

For the biscuits on your chicken pot pie, take 6 cups of flour, 3 TBS baking powder, 3 tsp salt. Mix together. Cut in 1 cup butter or lard. Add 2 cups milk. Make and cut out your biscuits how you would and lay on a cookie sheet. Makes about 25-30 biscuits. Freeze uncovered. Once frozen, remove and put in a gallon freezer bag. To bake just put the biscuits in a preheated 425 oven, and bake about 10 minutes til golden. They will rise and brown like any other homemade biscuit. I've even done these with buttermilk. Just add a little baking soda to your dry ingredients if you do. This will save you another step!

Now I have been watching you ever since but this is the first day I decided to leave you a comment. At first it was just about meal prep, but now I think everything you do is inspiring. You remind me of a young version of both of my Grandma's in different ways. My Grandma Alice was always my inspiration to learn to be a home cook. My grandmother Ila was always fascinating because she made everything about her farm seamlessly part of daily life. Nothing ever went to waste, soo many things were made from scratch. Both of them are gone now but your personality is bringing back memories. We bought our house last year now that we have settled in I have decided to create two small garden beds in my backyard for the first time mostly because your enthusiasm made me want to try but also because of the oncoming inflation. I'm so excited and watching your preparations for your own garden is so motivating. I wish you luck and I'm really happy for you and the success you are finding in sharing your journey. You are a great teacher.

ROFLOL! That made me laugh out loud that you didn't realize what / how to prepare cream of "whatever" soup bases! lol. But, I am much older and from a different era, so no, I would imagine a great many people don't realize how easy it is to make. But that cracked me up the way you said it. I am a bulk cooker myself. I have been since me and my husband have been trying to be more efficient with our money and time. For YEARS I only had a single burner and a microwave. You would be SHOCKED what I was able to do with just those two items. I now have a full kitchen and got an air fyer. I was experimenting with that but I have one of those instantpots still in the box. Haven't got to it yet to learn about it. I think the utility and efficiency it provides for bulk cooking is awesome! I was thinking it would be a great way to steam veggies really easily. I only have a standard pot and pan set so I was excited about the steaming aspect, but you have shown me there is so much more I can do with this thing. Thanks for the video! Same but i also have other dietry requirements that basically make all of these meal prep freezer type vids useless to me but i love seeing it and getting some inspo and thinking of ways i may be able to really simplify and alter stuff to suit me but by the end its not worth it cause there will be like 1 ingredient that i dont have to substitute so i just end up freezing various veg soups with homemade broth 😂 i mean i love it but i wish i could eat whatever itd be SOOOO easy to do freezer meals and general meal prep with lots of fun diversity and stuff. Do you have any good reccomendations or channels or books or anything you found helpful? Most prepper homemaker anything involving food is almost always north american and the very meat cheese bread/pasta/potato sugar salt heavy diets and basically a variation of those over and over. Ive found Mediterranean food italian greek and also really basic traditional bland uk ireland food to be best suited to my more blue zone whole food unprocessed mostly plant based diet. I basically tell people im a medieval peasant diet wise or a monk lol like healthy af but basic af and basically the opposite of the modern diet in most places.

THANK YOU !!! So exciting. I am nearly 70 and cook for one. I love cooking as I can control salt and taste. I hate cooking because of prep time and clean up time. So I’ve resorted to store bought frozen single serve meals. I lose flavor and $$$. You have encouraged me to make my own freezer meals for 2-3 servings each. I have both an Instant Pot and electric canner. I can spread the prep time out over several days and freeze. Do cooking over a couple of days. And assemble and freeze on the finale day. It takes a lot of mental prep time to coordinate what meal to make, what foods to prep, and make sure I have enough foil and plastic wrap. I CAN do this - thanks to you and your video. Can’t wait to watch your other videos.

A tip for making lasagna ahead of time: instead of using the "no boil " noodles, use the regular ones. Since you are making it ahead of time and freezing it, therxtra liquid caused by thawing will be absorbed by the noodles while baking. I usually make mine the day before and add a little extra water to my sauce. I don't freeze it, just wrap it in foil. Turns out great every time. I then cut leftovers into individual servings, wrap well and freeze. As a single person this works well when I cook several different foods.

TIP... I actually save all the onion peels and tops and bottoms of onions to freeze until I get a hollow or two saved up then I dehydrate and make onion powder.. saves me alot as we use alot of garlic and onion powder like you.. sounds wierd but the dry skins are just onion right and have alot of flavor.. so it's a win win for us.. Also.. Bell pepper powder is also an amazing seasoning... and we after add some jalapeños to some of the bell pepper powder also to tone down the heat 😉✌

I just love watching u“flavor up“your pot of food that your preparing ! That’s the way I cook as well and it tastes so good ! You just get a “feel” for it the more you cook .For ppl who are afraid not to measure seasonings and herbs.. try it , it’s fun, quicker and if you are starting out doing it start with less and build up the flavor and as you taste you will know gotta add a touch more of this r that and your food will be delicious and then the more you do it you automatically know the amounts you need to put in without even needing to think about it much and that’s when you have the “feel” of seasoning your meals up easily as your preparing them ! Blessings! ❤️

I am a retired dietitian and i loved this so much!! Great job! I would just like to comment to any of your older viewers who think they don't have the stamina to do this. Most old recipes of mine make way too much food now that it is just my husband and I. So I put it into 2 or 3 pans, bake one for dinner and freeze the others and often I double the recipe and get 6 meals. It really doesn't take more time. I also often make two recipes that have the same meat, at once, that way I can buy large packages and save money. If you do this once or twice a week you will have a freezer full of meals in no time. Another tip is I line my Pyrex baking dishes with plastic wrap, add the food, freeze and the next day I pop them out, wrap well and label. They stack nicely and I use the same 6 pans over and over. Just take a frozen meal out in the morning, unwrap and put back in the pan in the fridge to thaw and bake it at dinner time.

I make my own ricotta cheese when I want to make "special" lasagna! It's really really simple and only takes a couple minutes. It is just milk, lemon juice, and heat. HIGHLY recommend. It also freezes really well if you want to keep some for later. It also makes "homemade" whey you can dry out for whey protein (my husband loves that).
