Dude this is the first time I’ve ever seen this after owning one for months and wanting one for months before that. Damn that’s pretty slick, thank you
Don’t do this, I mean you can but I put them in like when I first got it and one day it randomly snapped and it broke the part where the paddle is inserted.
I've had mine like this since the controller first came out and have had no issues. I also did it accidentally but found I actually preferred them backwards.
I’m glad you can do this because I just got my second duel sense edge ( had a warranty I didn’t pay another $200) due to the paddles not working when put in the right way ( after a few times of pressing the paddles they would hug the controller and not press down) so now I have to play like this
So this happened to me a couple of times. Something with the housing inside. I have geek squad which will replace it every time. Problem is they're out of controllers but now I can try this for now. Great to know.
@@Pharaohciousyou can replace the actual module for paddles it’s like $15 or do what I did and put paper around the socket. I got this from Reddit and it saved me hella money. I just searched “paddles not working on duelsense edge”
I did this by mistake when I 1st got it. I damage my LB Button back when Multiplayer Rank came out doing a drop shot. My HexGaming Rival Pro 4 controller paddles are made for incidental intense presses. Love that controller
My left paddle back button, installed according to the manual, stopped actuating and this tip helped solve the issue. Still, I’m considering having Sony perform an out of warranty repair. I’m not roughly using the back buttons, but after almost two years of use, and a $200.00 price, it should not wear out this quick, but Sony’s not the first company to make manufacturing shortcuts in materials and workmanship.
Hey, so I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but my dualsense controller just the other day started acting up. I keep getting a notification that something is wrong with the analog sticks. When it first happened, I plugged it into the console, n it worked normally. Just recently, it happened again. The light is also white and flashing. Now plugging it into the console doesn't fix the issue. Hitting the little reset button also hasn't fixed the issue. Popping both sticks out to make sure everything looked clean and normal. I cleaned up anything that might have been causing it, switched the sticks, made sure they were in properly, and they were. Now, what happens is the control will connect and turn on, but after a few minutes, I get the same notification. I'd rather not have to take the sticks apart, but if that's what it takes to not have to shell out another 200 gd bucks. I haven't had any problems until now. I've never gotten the stick notification before recently. It must not have happened to that many people because i can't seem to find anyone talking about this.
If cleaning the sticks doesnt work you wont need to but another controller. If you’re talking about the dualsense edge at least. You can buy individual sticks for the dualsense edge and replace them for like 20-30 bucks
@@jonathan_420 Sorry, I meant the dualsense edge. It keeps telling me the stick modules are not inserted properly.. I can turn the controller on, but after a few minutes, I get the same notification
@@Facesofevildead420 you should remove the cover of the controller and check to see if the sticks are inserted properly. They might not be. If you dont know how to search on youtube “dualsense edge replace sticks” and watch the video by playstation. They show how to do it
@jonathan_420 Yeah I tool them out, even took the left n put it where the right module was n put the right one where I had the left stick.. n it still happens
From what i have heard this damages your controller which is why they specifically said NOT to do it this way. Im not sure if this is true but for a $200 controller be careful yall. The internals are fragile
I’ve had my scuf about 18 months and starting to get a bit of stick drift. I can manage it with the game settings of warzone e.g amending deadzones. So I don’t notice it.
lol I don’t know what y’all be doing to your controllers but I’ve owned multiple Scuf controllers and have never had an issue. No stick drift, no breaking, nothing to be honest so y’all might wanna stop rage throwing them and take care of your stuff lol
Dont recommend this. Breaks the inner mechanism & the paddles will stop working. Learnt from this 1st hand within 90days. If you arent planning on replacing your whole controller anytime soon, use it normally
Wow. I always thought this should be a thing but I guess one doesn't need to follow the L & R haha. Wonder if it works for the slightly different paddles they come with. Never could get use to the paddles as I play claw so now it'll fck with me. This way may be better for CLAW style
And some players are wondering why their back buttons mechanism is breaking lol the edge was made to use the dome paddles. I stick to it and don’t get issues
Are the click triggers on an edge good? I play a ton of cod and I’m debating what pro controller to get with paddles and decent mouse click triggers any suggestions?
Just bought this controller for Christmas but the right back button feels a little bit loose. I tried both the right and the left buttons on the right side of the controller and still feels lil bit loose. Hopefully I could get a replacement or a refund at Walmart.
@@RespawnRoss The back left side conector feels perfect for both left and right buttons, the large ones and the tiny ones. It’s the back right side conector that feels weird for all buttons. Gonna go to Walmart today, see if they can give me a replacement or refund.
I just picked it up a few days ago to play COD and thumbsticks feels way too stiff. Am I going crazy I thought it would feel loose by now but I Keep getting a 1 KD in COD I usually drop like a 2kd+ in online matches wtf! It's getting annoying
@RespawnRoss Thnx for the Reply. I Readjusted my Settings from in GAME and this time Drop my Deadzone Left stick from 60 to 25 Max and Lowest Deadzone 4 to 0 and Right Stick from 90 to 100 Max and lowest Deadzone from 6 to 0 aswell as adjusted The Edge Controller settings within ps5 Left Stick put it from Default to Quick +4 and Right Stick Precise -2 and it made a huge difference in my performance back up to moving Quick in Game and Dropping 2KD+ and winning more games. I did a bit of research and some people saying edge controller is a bit stiffer with more resistance. In thumbsticks
DO NOT DO THIS!!!! It’ll ruin your module and after replacing mine first from factory and then again myself; the controller just hasn’t been the same since.
THANK YOU. 😮 Watch out guys cuz sometimes you can break the back paddles. It seems to happen when I put it back in the case n forgot to take it off. But the button wasn't working before now since I've done it the button works
hi ive accidently placed the pedals like in this video and found out that its sooo good ..... will it break my controller in anyway ? i mean is it okay to use the pedals like this for long time ?
I’ve heard a few people that press the back paddles too hard have had issues, but this is the back paddles in general not necessarily in this position. As long as you’re not pressing too hard you’ll be fine.

I tried that a long time ago pressing the backpaddels feels good but my hand and finger positioning feels awkward. It might be because I have a medium size hand.
Hey I got them from extreme rate, there’s a long form video on my channel of all the colours. The Dualsense Edge just got an Upgrade! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lsJddRvzHaM.html use discount code ‘RESPAWNROSS10’ for 10% off.
The secret to brake the housing on the back paddles wich is not a secret anymore lots of people are having the same problem with the back paddles housing”I had a bad experience with this controller with the back housing”if you buy this controller even tho you have a year warranty from Sony but is a process to get it fix is they will give you a refurbished one”I recommend not to do the paddles the opposite way it will damage even faster it happened to me also if you buy this remote put insurance on it because this controller has a problem with this housing on the back paddles they fix one thing and now is the back paddles they have a flaw feels like they do this on purpose so you can keep buying new ones because after the year from Sony you probably end up buying a new one also if you want the scuff feeling just buy the scuff instead I really don’t recommend doing this to a $200 or more remote controller the padlles housing are really sensitive and easy to break
When i first bought my edge controller i actually did that mistakenly didnt like how it felt so i figured out i put then in backwards. Then went to do the same for the smaller ones they dont work due to them being basically the same
