I 100% agree with you on these issues - and even more disturbing is the fact that Motsepe and Cyril are pushing not just for the IPPS (when Africa as an entire continent is only responsible for 4% of the worlds emissions) but also for the privatisation of the grid. So now its about private sector generation, and the private sector also taking over transmission. We as SA are not talking about the privatisaton of transmission, and these bogus traders of energy that they have introduced with the public not knowing, are a red herring... and the Chairperson of NERSA is conflicted and is currently a CEO of one of them! As for the push for IPPs, which are not a solution to the baseload energy problem... I remember you recently talking about Cyril's recent speech making sure that the IPP cabal knows that they are covered - and you are correct on the fact that they legalise their illegality and then end up on the so-called right side of the law... As for the Blackrock's of this world.... it is quite scary... infrastructure is only the beginning of a major asset class he says...listening to this Blackrock fella is quite disturbing, to say the least.. And no, public goods should definately NOT be privately owned... and it is particularly disturbing for this to happen in a country where the majority are living below the various poverty lines!

Took the words right out of my mouth. The Globalist agenda is on steroids, and Cyril and Patrice are globalists puppets. Furthermore the science of climate change is not materialising; they said the PH levels of the ocean would change, which has not happened, the said sea levels would rise, which had not happened, in fact the climate change people have beach front houses, including Cyril,Obama,Greta crazy girl, etc. There is no need to compare SA electricity prices with Europe when the raw materials are sourced here. We have a 30% pass rate in the basis of guaranteed jobs in the heavy industry that rely on a cheap reliable Eskom, but now it all up in smoke, but the people shall rise

* Ramaphosa & His Bother in Law Patrice Motsepe (both multi-billionaires) Look up African Rainbow Energy & Power ...and you will understand why Eskom has progressively been broken and sabotaged over the years. African Rainbow Energy & Power Pty Ltd (the empire of the Ramatsepes, their associates and the ANC NEC) is but one of the ANC's multi billion rand facilitating troughs. This Ramaphosa and brother in law Patrice Motsepe multi-billion-rand empire is the objective trough facilitating the ANC, its associates and cadre connected. Jaanong talking of state enterprise vs private enterprise and this defunct idea that private ownership means success, the most successful airline in Africa, Ethiopian, is state owned. This is in a continent of countless private airlines even internationally operated. So this idea that state owned means failure is not true. Daily we see the collapse of private companies but that is never taken as evidence that private ownership is bankrupt as an idea. But the collapse of state companies we are told, shows that public ownership does not work.

The problem is with us that are so called educated. Just because right now you still have options, we think this does not affect us, greed has no bounds and it’s never enough, they going to continue until they run this country to the ground and then runaway to a stable country with all that money

So I've had the privilege of visiting the first solar power plant built on SA soil. Located in De Aar, NC with an installed DC capacity of 75MW = 60MW AC. These guys generate on average 400MWh per day... they receive a payment of R 6.00 per kwh, do the math on how much they make per day as long as the plant is operational, which is seven (7) days per week.. Then guess how much many full time employees they need to operate that plant? Six (6), only 6... if that plant was a nuclear or coal fired power plant it could have created more direct jobs, conservatively about 120 direct jobs, if not more... this change from hydrocarbons to solar is going to jack up the cost of power in South Africa, at the same time, it'll cut the number of people needed to operate the plant therefore maximizing profits for certain individuals...

Business people are doing what they ned to make money. That's what business is about. If the people do not like what businesses are doing they tell the government they elect to change the law. If the businesses don't like the law they leave... then the people get what they voted for. South Africans, broadly (the blacks), vote for ANC. So let's not hear any complaining about the collapse of infrastructure and the government's ability to deliver. What is happening right now in SA is that the government is penalizing innocent taxpayers to cover up the failures of government. If we all, all taxpayers, got solar to protect ourselves the majority would demand that we be taxed for looking after ourselves to look after the people the government let down. To correct you, basic education is not provided for free... someone is paying. there is NOTHING being provided for free. This nonsense is why black South Africans just demand "free" stuff. Tell them where the money funding the "free" stuff is coming from!

Our focus is turned on the poor who do not pay but no one asks why govt departments, ministers, MP's, councilors & big business are not paying for their electritcity. Municipalities do not even pay over the money they do get. All they show us is the illegal connection of some shacks. They want us to focus on them while the others more than capable of paying owe tens of billions to ESKOM. I do not understand why the President allows this.
