The guy we are talking about was the first person to turn state witness, and was sentenced about 6-7 years ago, yes vbs is that long ago... he turned witness and gave evidence, him getting parole is not amazing regarding the fact that he gave sooo much evidence of wrong doing which led to a strong case against matodzi... this makes sense theres nothing wrong there, if you get 10 years you will serve half of that if you are a good inmate and get parole
True - most people do not understand that you may qualify for parole after serving half the sentence. That’s how our law works and it has always been like that.

I don't think he was released early. He was released on parol after serving his sentence. When he was sentenced to 7 years I never heard an uproar. He made a deal and didn't fight. Edit: changed patrol to parol

I think ur analysis on the Oscar case is disingenuous, he wasn’t convicted of murder. He was convicted for culpable homicide which is by definition a lighter sentence. Great content nonetheless.
