The Elf Prince in Hellboy II Was Right 

According to TV Tropes Prince Nuada would be an example of an "Anti-Villain" and a "Well-Intentioned Extremist."

It mirrors reality life with historical accuracy to various groups Afro-Americans being one of them. It’s a sad story as I am AA. You fight for the right to survive like all beings and members of Society would rather lose everything than become free and independent. Definitely was the good guy. I also did not like Killmonger taking his girlfriends life had he valued her I would have agreed he was in the right. However, marvel had to warp his sense of justice and when they did that I knew he was more anti-villain.

The reason humans forgot is because there was almost 0 interaction between the humans and the elves. But if there was constant interaction maybe humans may have not wanted to invade the forest. Just maybe......

I think its worth pointing out in the hellboy movies normal humans have no idea that magic is even real let alone the various supernatural beings, he might have gotten alot of support among human kind these days but he didnt even try diplomacy

I for one would love for someone to come up with a series where it's the fae vs Humanity, the chosen hero rises....and winds up siding with the fae. becasue they KEEP thier deals, and are nowhere near as destructive. fast forward to 1000 years later. the "chosen one" is now a Lich (only way to keep him alive that long) overseeing a valley contianing earth's last humans..carefully population controlled and protected..part of the hero's "settlement" with the fae. Humans aren't supposed to leave the valley...but some do anyway. Maybe the lich is obliged to hunt them down..but is dragigng his heels in doing so. and oops, they have his old weapons to protect themselves...becasue the fae are immortal, and they REMEMBER. I always liked the idea of a gun whose aim is true as long as the wielder is. S you have this band of humans exporing, learning and adapting...and having to decide whether or not to resort to standard human shenanigans to get what they want.

Both Hellboy movies from the original continuity were some of the most rewatchable films I've ever seen.

Nuada is an homage to Elric of Melnibone, who was one of the original fantasy "anti-heroes". The Melniboneans were a huge inspiration for D&D Drow.

I love prince Nuada he is such a cool character, and I agree he was right, but then again Anung un Rama is destined to destroy the world thus he cannot. Humans are a disease they can only destroy, together with the scene where Hellboy destroys the last Flower Elemental/ Earth elemental.

I agree with Ozymandias. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Why is that so hard for everyone to understand?

Nuada and the elves from lord of the rings look strikingly similar. Also, Del Toro was approached to direct lord of the rings. I believe the small glimpse into the elf world signifies that millennia after the elves of lord of the rings survive.

The Golden army is really bad, and Nuada shouldn't have wanted to do very horrible things to humans by using them, when both sides agreed a long time ago that they wouldn't, and had a truce, alot of those magical creatures were not good, like the tooth fairies, that monster lady that eats kittens. If Hellboy chose to be the monster he could be it would be a even worse nightmare on earth, his father Trevor, and Myers taught him better than that. I'll add Nuada was a hostile invader, it wasn't enough that the elves, and mythical creatures had their own space, but wanted to take over the humans one aswell with most humans not knowing anything about the truce.

Can we please get off this "the Baddy was Right all along" train? It's just a cheap cover for a person's self hatred. Or just a wimpy resentment towards humanity. Prince Nuada is a very cliche Hollywood villain. Filmmakers always makes these stupid villains to reflect their warped view of the world. Especially when it comes to the "Environment."
