It's difficult to capture the attention and interest of my students when it's time for a movie. This movie, however, makes them all pause and pay attention. From the ROUS, to the sword battles and the battle of intelligence. This movie is great and timeless.
There have been times that people were complaining about a movie or a series because of a character or even the writers, but I'm still able to thoroughly enjoy it. I don't get so attached to characters for one thing. I can respect Henry's reasons for leaving and still keep an open mind and watch the new direction the show is taking. I love that about me. It makes life so much sweeter 😊.
Would love to see this series return! My favorite Tom Cruise movies are the sci-fi ones which have interesting concepts and themes! Edge of Tomorrow, Oblivion, Minority Report, all great movies! I hope to see him return to bringing unique sci-fi stories to the screen!
I love Michael Gambon, but I'm not really satisfied with his portrayal of Dumbledore. I missed the quirky side of him, you know? Some sparkling in his eyes. A little wink. Richard Harris & Jude Law did a better job imo.
In the caption "When He-Man first debuted, his alter ego Prince Adam had been established as an only child". I mean, sure, in the Filmation show. In the real world, when He-Man first debuted in toyline, Prince Adam didn't even exist for some time later til DC Comics created him based on their own 'Clark Kent', suitably enough in a 1982's DC Comics Presents #47 crossover with Superman. :) Entire MotU lore has been retconned so many times in so many ways for the past 40+ years. :D
Man here. I absolutely disagree. Rio had many chances with Pizzazz and he refused. He did see both Jerrica and Jem at the same time btw (even while one of them was a hologram). Also pls consider that Jerrica is 70-80% times Jem and when she's Jerrica, she's busy with work and overall is cold with Rio (no wonder if he thinks she doesn't care about him). She's aware of that Rio "has a girlriend" but even then she pushes herself to him as Jem in almost every episode. I blame Jerrica but tbf there was that episode which showed what would happen if he would tell Rio, but still.
Sorry, but it rubs me the wrong way, how Jem fans put all the accountability on Rio but not on Jerrica/Jem. Not only did she create the problem, but Jerrica would also initiate a lot of the 'physical' contact with Rio as Jem. If you are going to criticize the Jem/Rio/Jerrica dynamic, you should criticize all sides not simply put all the blame on Rio. The whole thing just comes across as benevolent sexism, where women aren't held responsible for their actions the same way men, because our culture don't treat women as people with agency.
I always felt that on some level that Rio knew they were both one in the same. Jerrica knew this as well. Technically, none of what they did was cheating.
He man retcon worked because it was written to make sense. One could see the possibility of something like that happening. The way how She ra was written into the main continuity lore. They did not disrespect the fans of the characters and lore. Also they made she ra into such a cool character. She complimented He-Man very well. Could they do this nowadays. Hell no!!! These modern writers would have destroyed the very concept of who and what she ra is as a character.They would have made her into some crazy man hating girl boss. She ra has alot of straight male fans who grew up watching that show. That how good she was written as a character who just happened to be a female version of he man. This is why i don't want to see a she ra movie. Because in this political agenda reality. They will hire some feminist agenda driven weirdos to write the character and destroy its popularity with male she ra fans. Good video i really enjoyed it.
Um. There's already been various new versions of She-Ra. Most notably the 2018 version but also the one that was Despara in the 2010's DC MotU comics (and Despara made a cameo at the end of Masters of the Universe: Revolution). Even as a kid in the 80s I watched She-Ra's show too but I was still well aware it was not aimed at 'straight males' (and boys would get bullied at school if they admitted watching She-Ra). The She-Ra toyline was aimed at girls with the dolls and the hair to brush and costumes to change. She was basically a cross between He-Man and Barbie. The reason the Masters of the Universe toy characters such as Hordak, Leech, Mantenna, Grizzlor etc were included was because their toys needed promotion and He-Man's show had already ended. Catra didn't exist in that MotU toyline. She was a doll in She-Ra's toyline and was She-Ra's main enemy in it. The likes of He-Man and Skeletor only encountered the Horde in the cartoon by crossing into She-Ra's show. But in the mini-comics with the toys, Hordak and his Horde were a common enemy of both He-Man and Skeletor in many stories. By the way... 'political agenda reality'? Do you not know about Filmation (who produced those 80s cartoons) and it's founder Lou Scheimer and his daughter Erika who both also voiced characters on those shows? They were very progressive and occasionally pushed the boundaries of what kids cartoons could show back then in regards to acceptance of social minorities. Erika came out as lesbian and has stated that the Filmation offices often joked that Prince Adam was gay. As he was very 'gay-coded' in his outfit and his general personality. And that infamous scene of him in the theatrical release The Secret of the Sword, riding horseback with Bow, the only man in She-Ra's crew, with his pencil thin moustache, cartoon heart on his chest armor which leaves his abs exposed, while Kowl flies above, his stripe ears looking like a Pride flag. Adam wasn't gay but it's hilarious when homophobic folk try to convince themselves that Filmation's MotU was some 'super straight' cartoon. There's reasons it had a huge gay following even back then. Adam still isn't gay in the modern MotU but some of these 'anti-woke' folk insisted he was (and insisted Teela was in a lesbian relationship with Andra even though that wasn't true either) but love to ignore how Adam was (sometimes purposely) not the most masculine straight guy around in the old show.
@@Carnivius_Prime Little boys at that time loved the cartoon. We just did not play with the toys. Also no one that i knew of was ever thinking about Adam as being gay. Nor did we see teela as being a lesbian. Ten year old young boys was not even thinking or talking about stuff like that back then. All we saw was a cool show with he man sometimes in it. Everything else is what is in the now.

And Adam was often seen as gay. Lavender tights, pink vest and then turns into a superhero with furry briefs and a fake tan. Why do you think that whole meme of him singing that "What's going on" song happened? And that was in 2005. Long before 'woke agenda'. It's not about what "ten year old boys" were thinking or talking about. It's about what was actually going on in the real world and what Filmation were doing. And as I said... some of us boys got BEAT UP for watching She-Ra. It was seen as "icky girly show" like Jem & The Holograms or My Little Pony.

Other than that no one gotten beat up over watching the cartoon. I guess every fan has an different experience dealing with she ra cartoon.

Yeah the difference in all these characters that were replaced and the witcher is that none of them were main characters.If Tony Stark,Harry Potter or Daenerys actors were replaced 3 seasons or movies in,you really think people wouldn't care?

Liam is great actor there is no problem with him playing Geralt but the thing is the writers are not at all honoring the source material and henry was the only one who was fighting against the writers but now that he's gone they are going change the whole fucking story
I feel like the writers probably have a better idea of what they are doing than the actor. Adaptations always require changes. Yet every time something is adapted people complain, as if they haven't noticed this pattern. you are either young or you haven't been paying attention

Moreover, the scriptwriter of The Witcher, Tomek Bagiński, said in an interview for a Polish newspaper "Wyborcza" that they simplified the series for Americans because they are too stupid to understand the story from the books.
Yeah I don't really care about the actor but when I hear that they don't honour the fantastic world of the books I love, even though there is plenty of material u cant portray. There is even room for telling your own story within the universe see the games. The spinoff about the elves was even the worst. I hate modern Hollywood 😞 where are the Peter Jacksons of our time that really care😢.
Are there people out there who think it's about the actor? It's not. It wasn't ok even before he left? It'll be even less ok. In fact, so long as the creator is the same person who openly revealed she doesn't care about fantasy, this show will never be ok lol

B-b-but ... but what about Muh Original Thundercats and the cool New Thundercats (Lynx-O, Pumyra, & Bengali) who were smash-blasted into that continuity with the "Thundercats Ho!" movie I lov--Yyyyyeeeaaah, I actually enjoy the original "She-Ra: Princess if Power" continuity adjustment better too, and I'm a guy who was very much into He-Man, then proceeded to love her spinoff/continuation when it came out! I also appreciate how they distinguished She-Ra from her brother by having her be less overall "powerful" (not as much strength or durability; he has the Sword of Power), but definitely more "capable" than he is (healing & telepathy powers are exclusive to her; her Sword of Protection can shape-shift while his channels lighting). This made it the team-ups between them on several of the She-Ra show's episodes feel like you were getting 2 superheroes for the price of 1. They were like universe crossovers BEFORE they became popular!
I definitely enjoy the inclusion of Adora/She-Ra into the masters of the universe franchise. Not only does Adam/He-Man have a sister who shares his powers and secret, but Adora has a more interesting and tragic story. Adora was the unlucky twin who got kidnapped and raised by villains. Fortunately, she had her life changed for the better by the twin brother she didn't know she had, and ultimately, Adora had to fight a war to free Etheria from evil. At least Adora was reunited with her family and knows that her brother Adam will always be there when she needs him, just as she'll always be there for him.
first they only care when magic is used in front of a Muggle outside the school, it does not matter if a student used magic in his own house infront of his wizard family outside the school. second Harry was only persecuted when he used an Advanced charm + in front of muggles. so a lot of small simple magic that doesn't attract attension can fly under the radar if it has no negative consequences on the wizard world since the main goal of thsi rule is to not Expose the wizarding world. But then by that logic. when Harry and Ron used the flying car, this incidents should qualify them one way ticket to Azkaban. damn nothing makes sense.
Right, because although the charm was used in front of Dursley’s clients, there was no way for them to know it was magic. In their eyes Harry just dropped a cake on her head. And still Harry got in trouble for it.
The reason humans forgot is because there was almost 0 interaction between the humans and the elves. But if there was constant interaction maybe humans may have not wanted to invade the forest. Just maybe......
Nuada and the elves from lord of the rings look strikingly similar. Also, Del Toro was approached to direct lord of the rings. I believe the small glimpse into the elf world signifies that millennia after the elves of lord of the rings survive.
The Golden army is really bad, and Nuada shouldn't have wanted to do very horrible things to humans by using them, when both sides agreed a long time ago that they wouldn't, and had a truce, alot of those magical creatures were not good, like the tooth fairies, that monster lady that eats kittens. If Hellboy chose to be the monster he could be it would be a even worse nightmare on earth, his father Trevor, and Myers taught him better than that. I'll add Nuada was a hostile invader, it wasn't enough that the elves, and mythical creatures had their own space, but wanted to take over the humans one aswell with most humans not knowing anything about the truce.
But the humans have long disregarded the truce. Or otherwise the elves would still be in the forests. Plus there are really bad humans too, like serial killers. But humans on the whole aren’t judged by the worst of their kind, why should magical creatures? The magical creatures once had their own space and humans drove them underground. Prince Nuada knew they would just do it again unless he took complete control.
I think its worth pointing out in the hellboy movies normal humans have no idea that magic is even real let alone the various supernatural beings, he might have gotten alot of support among human kind these days but he didnt even try diplomacy
I don’t know, the scenes of the humans rejecting Hellboy seem to show that humans wouldn’t support supernatural beings. Plus the elf king was diplomatic and where did that get him?

It mirrors reality life with historical accuracy to various groups Afro-Americans being one of them. It’s a sad story as I am AA. You fight for the right to survive like all beings and members of Society would rather lose everything than become free and independent. Definitely was the good guy. I also did not like Killmonger taking his girlfriends life had he valued her I would have agreed he was in the right. However, marvel had to warp his sense of justice and when they did that I knew he was more anti-villain.
