Can you tell us how? I had one concern which didn't get mentioned in this video: when you lay the ipad tilted with the drawer pulled out.. you'd have that 7/10 times if you want to chat or type.. you will put extra weight while typing and damage the drawer due to the stress.

@@giantmilkshake1718 if that’s your concern I definitely would not get it. It seemed sturdy to me but it broke from me placing the iPad into an empty backpack. It got snagged on the zipper on the bag. I tried to snap it back on but it’s too flimsy feeling. Not worth the $90!

Hey! Was thinking of getting the 11" also. By chance did you own the previous one, without the pencil latch? Overall, would you still recommend this "elite" edition?

@@manLiMarth I had the Otterbox Symmetry for my 2018 iPad pro 11", yes. So, I'm torn on "recommending" this new 2021 version. I like it because it feels thinner without the "flap" that restrains the pencil on the old version. BUT, the new "latch" pencil retainer makes it tough to get the pencil out for use. The pencil snaps back into place very well. Its just taking it out. The only real reason I'm using the new case at this point, is because the magnets for my apple pencil aren't as strong, and using the old case was causing me to accidentally drop the pencil. Because it would detach so easily. Overall, it's still a great case, and I'm being petty probably. I don't use my apple pencil a lot, and would imagine if someone was constantly using it, it would be more of a problem. I only use is a couple times a day. But I would use the old case style, if my magnets were stronger. Hope that all makes sense. Lmao.

@@majecphotography Really appreciate you taking the time to respond. It sounds like the real downside for the latch is the difficulty in taking out the pencil; are there any others that make the flap version preferable? Does the magnet work on the back to have a flat "book" mode, as at 4:57 here? Also, I didn't know that the magnets on the apple pencil could lose their power! I only just got mine. I sort of worry about the flap losing the pencil inside a bag, which is why I'm considering this new version, but with reports about the latch breaking, I'm a bit torn... maybe I need to try it and keep the receipt, just in case.

@@manLiMarth It’s not a problem 😁 As far as “book mode”, I don’t like it on this new one, and think the previous version works better. The apple pencil’s “flap” holds the holds the cover in place when it’s open on the old one. Again, a little different for me possibly, because I’m a smoker, and because I of that, I have to let go of the right side of the iPad, and it’s instantly falls. Drives me nuts actually. Lmao. I don’t think my apple pencil lost any magnetism, as I bought a new one with my new iPad, so it’s something with the new pencil or iPad. Lol. Ultimately, the 2nd generation otter box symmetry case is the best case to use on this 3rd generation iPad, IMO. I purchased one for this new iPad, and it fits perfectly. That’s what I was using until the other day. Btw, I never lost my Apple Pencil in my bag in 3 years (or so) with the older style case. 😁😁

@@TheAverageTechGuy okay, I appreciate the feedback. I really want to get that Zugu case but the screen protector it’s something that I’m worried about. Paper like ones are good for drawing but will lose the detail of screen quality. Tempered glass would protect from scratch’s but won’t feel different that the screen itself.

Exactly, I bought this case and it’s going back tomorrow due to the amount of scratches already on the back, if it had soft edges and a soft inside I would of kept it

I am trying this out after returning the smart folio. Ipad slipped out a little of the smart folio. I have the ZUGU But its so heavy and makes my Ipad twice as heavy. I am sending it back - probably. I just got this today.
