Congratulations to Elliot Easton for being nominated as a finalist in the 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Empty Hearts is made up of Blondie's showman drummer Clem Burke (already a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame), The Romantics' lead singer Wally Palmar, and lead guitarist from The Cars Elliot Easton, here performing one of Elliot's biggest hits at the recent Sherman Oaks Autumn Street Fair 2016. Great video. Elliot is so dang cool. I grew up in the 80s and hated the synthesized music. I adored the cars for being a real guitar band. I have played guitar since 11 years old and often do this one. Awesome. Thank you

I LOVE IT!!!!! I can still remember the first I this song I was in my car. and I immediately headed right to the music store. and bought the album and I have been a huge fan even since. I still know the music note for note and the lyrics word for word amazing.

Creci al norte de mexico escuchando the cars. siempre pense que Ellit Easton nunca recibio el reconocimiento que se merecia. I grew up in the north of Mexico listening music from the cars I always thought Elliot Easton never received recognition as deserved.

There was a problem with Wally and Andy getting into town so this show ended up being the The Tearaways with Clem and Elliot from the Empty Hearts along with Jeffrey Foskett from the Beach Boys, Eddie Munoz from the Plimsouls, Ron Dante from the Archies and Bo Donaldson from the Heywoods. Turned into a fun jam although Wally and Andy were missed. Hopefully they will be able to play the street fair next year.
