Here’s how I think it could play out. I don’t think they’ll get relegated, I think at BEST they’ll get a minimal points deduction & a HIGE fine, WHICH, they’ll pay off in full by the end of business the same day, OR IF by some miracle they do get relegated, they won’t get their TITLES STRIPPED. Either way, I think as always, they’ll get away with it!
@@JohnnyRedvers But very very clearly the hapless Premier League has no evidence and that’s why they are desperately seeking a way out of the mess they have have created for themselves.
@@ladsd679 it goes all the way to 2008 so they essentially can if found guilty. But i wouldn't want that to happen. I happy with a relegation to league 2
So we are saying that without evidence? What if city have enough evidence to prove innocence? What backbone does the PL need to show then? You want punishments without evidence what a bunch of weirdos
If City is found guilty, I can see another push for the Super League. Especially if they get relegated. Then they won’t need to be complicit with the agreement the premier league clubs had to sign
City get to appoint one person on to the three person panel that will adjudicate this case and have already objected to the chairperson because he is supposed to be an Arsenal supporter. I almost expect City to buy two of the three people on that panel to ensure they get a favourable outcome. That is the way of the people of the Middle East. Money solves all problems and they think they can do as they please.
“That is the way of the people of the Middle East” yeah because large scale corruption and bribery doesn’t exist anywhere else. Were the Arabs responsible for match fixing in the Series A?
Lol I know right. It's the premier league that has the control. Just hope they have the balls and go through with it and not buckle like cowards. And don't make it out like only people from the middle east pay bribes. The person taking the bribe is as equally as bad.
"The end" - City are fined a whopping £2M, they record one of those little apology videos (maybe Pep wears a yellow cardigan), and precisely nothing will change. The game's gone because City have bought it and took it home.
Absolutely no way the PL dont go as hard as possible if they find them guilty. This has cost them 10s of millions and the better part of a decade. They arent going to want to do this again.
Yeah but however much this has cost they'll lose far far more if they punish city. They'd lose more in 1 season than the whole thing has cost them. If they relegate city they're essentially putting down their best horse. Think of all the people who watch city, the tv deals, how much city makes. This k of all the players they'd lose. It'd kill city and the pl. Similarly if they don't relegate them and strip titles of them. In theory they'll have to give those titles to the trans that finished second and then pay them the difference in prize money from finishing 1st and 2nd. Either way it's going to cost them 100's millions to charge them.
Mark has access to ZERO evidence about anything pertaining to this case. Yet he is CERTAIN about who is guilty and bases his show on that opinion. This is the limitation of this sort of channel.
The emails were leaked and all available for you to view online. It is quite clear they are guilty of wrongdoing and gaming the system. Not impossible they find some legal loophole but to suggest they did nothing wrong is ridiculous
@@user-kt1gt2ms1g No. You do not understand what 'evidence' is. You have no idea what context any email was sent. Why was it placed into the public domain?Obviously the prosecution will release data that will convince people who only look to a very shallow depth. For example, what is the counter argument City are making? Exactly. You have no idea and you do not care or you WOULD want to know.
@@lamino8-tg6ro Of course. Because you are on an intellectual level beyond this realm. Just to be clear for you idiot, in Greenwood’s case there wasn’t a verdict, he’s neither innocent nor guilty in the eyes of the law. City’s case will be looked at in November, so straight off the bat it’s incomparable. As for “the court of public opinion” there are numerous examples that could be given that do not involve domestic violence. I’m not a Man Utd fan but if he wanted an example he could’ve mentioned how a lot of people accuse Rio of doping because he missed a doping test. That’s a better example
I think correct punishment would be having to sell a certain amount worth of players within 1 or 2 seasons (say 300-500m) as well as their owners getting banned from having ownership of city and relegation to at least league one. Taking away their premier leagues wouldn’t be right. As an arsenal fan we would get 2 if that were the case, but I wouldn’t count them, they just aren’t ours and I don’t see any Liverpool or United fans accepting it either
I think you should be proud for your team to get the 2 tittles, ever heard of tortoise and the hare? 1 cheated and got winning the league quickly the other placed 2nd and didn’t win but in the end the other gets disqualified for cheating
@@IdkIdkIdkIdkIdkIdkIdkIdkIdkEvg mate I would never accept a title that isn’t ours, and no Liverpool fan who actually follows the team would accept it either. We didn’t win it, city were better than us.
The problem with relegating them is that those leagues will effectively lose a promotion spot because city will certainly take it, so those teams in the championship/league one will feel punished as a result
People genuinely Hate City. / Man Cheaty. 115. It's their love for the premier league and love for their more historical clubs that want a league without a cheating club. That's why it gets views ? Comprehend?
As a city fan, it’s so so daunting and yes you know we’ve done a lot of great things in terms of honours but if we get proven guilty I’ll be very very disappointed, but i support the lads unconditionally and if we are guilty then we have to face it for what it is.
@@Deano90 that's it. For right or wrong, that's what much of the wider footballing world thinks of City's achievements, and will likely continue to, regardless of the outcome. It's difficult to respect what City have done on the field given what we strongly suspect has been done off it.
If they don't get charged I don't think Man city will get any public backlash or seen as losers in public opinion. All they did is to manage their funds better than Man Utd and Chelsea.. Also, hired the best coach.. The reason for winning 6 league titles in 7 years is Pep. Even with current squad if Pep leaves tomorrow Man City can't win the title this year..
Being able to COMFORTABLY afford 2 first teams that are better than everyone else has something to do with it. Wealthy cheats (especially financial ones) unfortunately do prosper. 😩
Issue I have is the chargers are doing when man city were coming up to challenge not the pep era. So how are clubs supposed to dream they can surpass the top boys? Newcastle have been sensible and still they’re struggling. Why are we celebrating protecting the traditional top 6?
@lgc9652 So you support allegedly cheating for over a decade to break into a Top 6 that btw has had a lot of different sides including Ipswich, Villa, Leicester, Wolves, West Ham, Newcastle, Everton, and Brighton in it over the past decade!!!???
But Savinho just joined 🤣🤣🤣 I continue to question players joining them or remaining to serve them because of the court case, but they continue to come and bolster the squad. So perhaps Khaldoon and Txiki have been very convincing with their pitch.
I just don’t see man city go down as guilty, man city is too big of a brand still in the building phase, that would mean if man city godown, viewership would go down especially in the Americas, and around the world, any money loss is always a big no no to big businesses. The other big teams just don’t pull any new fans like man city do. New customers is always good for business. And that’s what the PL needs to hold on too especially with the rise of the Italy league and Spanish league.
They're not that well supported globally, still, relative to the big teams in the league, at least not organically. You only need look around you wherever you are.
Viewing figures would go up due to the league reverting back somewhat to being more of a sporting competition rather than which club is run by the richest sugar daddy or mega rich oil state.
Exactly. What’s so interesting is the complete embrace of ignorance regarding the facts and the potential outcomes that may occur. When presented with anything facts that question or refute their position, they get angry and simply can’t handle it. Citeh might be guilty. Citeh may not be guilty. But the notion of thinking you have all the facts, dismissing ones you don’t like and then vociferously drawing a conclusion about it is not only low IQ, but it shows just how desperate they are for us to be guilty bc then they can rationalize their own teams’ inadequacies on the pitch.
He should be celebrating Manuer signings which are always celebrated during transfer season and once the season starts the fans start whining about their signings
If city are found to be guilty they should be forced to release all their players. Pay them off and pay a massive fine and be removed from the top of England and put down to league two and start again following the rules.
A fair punishment would to relegate them too League 2 (with 4 teams coming up in all the other leagues) realistically, they’ll come straight up to the prem and in the 1st season back in the prem they start on -115 points & serve a transfer ban👍🏽
Better get checking those leauge titles united and liverpool have won city are and always will be a small club just so happens there a small club with money
the way man city are quite in this transfer indicates something is really going on inside , they must be finding something to scape out of those charges rather focusing on the transfers.. its really very strange
In the same way that arsenal and Liverpool haven’t signed anyone? City have had longer than a year to come up with a way to “get out of it”. The lawyers aren’t the ones signing players either.
Mark claims to be a former police officer yet he's so certain Man City will be found guilty without knowing what the evidence is. He's just bitter about City's success.
We haven't been waiting for this, you and the rest of Man U, Arsenal and Liverpool fans have been waiting. I hope Man City wins. with love from Chelsea 💙
There's a huge difference between matchfixing of the likes of Juventus & Marseille to financial irregularities. The English are not very good at football hence their biggest fanbase,Utd,Liverpool and Arsenal want to rather win off pitch than on it. The typical English Southgate style of football by Utd & Liverpool which involves hoofing long balls which wins you nothing for half a century vs the Spain style of City which has success but huge jealousy. They want one out in internationals but love it at their clubs. Says everything
All domestic trophies vacated for the years being litigated, relegation to the Second Division, a 3 year ban from Europe, loss of 5 roster spots for 5 years, a massive fine.
I think they should be disbanded as a club, as with Rangers, made to start at the bottom. Depending on the severity and duplicity of the charges, per season, then they should be stripped of titles.
People need to understand that Money is the only consistent religion in the world, once you get addicted, it's difficult to get off. Football centres have moved to the Middle East. Nothing will come out of this. Stop wasting your energy on this matter.
Not true for the whole world but it has always been an obsession of certain groups of people. Football pre Sky was about competition not money for example
Yep. To relegate city or even remove their titles would cost to much money. They'll get a president setting fine I expect, far bigger than anything else we've seen. Maybe a transfer ban. That'll be it. A joke really considering what they did to Everton.
Funny how so many people (like Mark for example) consider them to be intelligent enough to comment on this case... Y'all haven't got a clue about what is gonna happen
If these charges cover 9 seasons then they need to be relegated 9 divisions. If they're not relegated them Prem teams should refuse to play and acknowledge them. Titles should also be stripped.
