The sidekick "nerf" is awesome. It was a spammy mess before, and now it is more of a precision weapon. Love the change.

Balancing the game around Husky Raid is absolutely wild - no competitive integrity in balancing decisions? I couldn't even believe the descriptions for the changes when I read them.

it's sad but no suprising that Rooster teeth has gone the way it did. I probably was a regular watcher up till covid. after that, the old guard took a back seat and sadly those were the personalities that made the company marketable for me.

Mods in MCC is what has kept Halo alive for me for a long time now.

I watched them play Halo CE for the last time... It really did hit me right in the chest. From the bottom of my heart, I loved RoosterTeeth and Achievement Hunter, I am honestly going to miss them both so much..

It’s literally called a Sidekick. From memory, one of the reasons 343 opted towards the Sidekick over the Magnum was because they didn’t want to repeat Halo 5; they didn’t want the Magnum to be so good that people didn’t want any other gun. The Sidekick has had this coming for a long time now (I don’t know what I’d do differently, but without having yet experienced it myself, a slight decrease in ROF still seems like a generous nerf, but we’ll all have to see when the update rolls out). Edit: I saw another comment arguing that the Sidekick nerf is actually a buff. With the lowered ROF, the weapon bloom won’t be as unforgiving, making it more usable for everyone. I don’t see this harming the gun’s potential, as bullets will commonly miss with the existing bloom anyway. While we’ll still have to see how the Sidekick performs post-update, I don’t see this Nerf actually harming it’s performance to an absurd degree, OR harming its position in the player’s arsenal. I don’t see people not using the Sidekick as they did initially based on this nerf alone.

Ok cool idea for a map. Since May 4th and the Phantom Menace is coming to theatres. Someone should make some maps theme’d to the movies. I’d love to see the inside of a trade federation cruiser as a map. Or the fields of Naboo

Sidekicks should be last resorts in a deep weapon sandbox.

Forge map is cool but I think it’s a little dark for visibility purposes. Plus idk if 343 would go for another version of the same map but then again there’s like 2 versions of the pit (excluding tenrai)

You mentioned MCC mods so imma speak up... THEY ALREADY HAVE THEM! They have something called winter contingency (mashup between infection and invasion) and I was playing as a grunt! There is also flood indunation when you move through a map to get to the end and fight flood players! It is so much fun for both sides! All these things were peak modded halo. I didnt even need to download anything I just joined these custom game lobbies and played. I also need to add that most of the maps I played these on were also modded and did not look like anything I have ever seen before on reach

I really hope 343 does at least one more update for the mcc. Being able to play mods on Xbox or having multiplayer mods easier to set up would be amazing

Unpopular opinion I want my whole ass rifle to be stronger than the pistol. It doesn’t have to be by much just a little stronger

I think the sidekick change will make the bloom always stay tight, which will allow me to hit further shots more accurately. Well see though

As much as I love the Sidekick, it's probably my favorite weapon in the game, it is significantly OP and I can consistently outplay almost every weapon with it. I think the new change is the right move. It's a sidearm and should be treated as such. It shouldn't outgun rifles. It's still a precision weapon and has that advantage. It will still do fine.

I dont mind the sidekick nerf, its a secondary weapon affter all, its doesnt feel right when its outperforming primary rifles, its just a small pistol, not like CE magnum affter all

Sounds like they're trying to make the Sidekick just a little more like a magnum by that slow down

Hey Blitz, on the topic of mcc mods, can you talk about the MCC Gametypers and Magicman Megalo Gametype mods for reach, 4 and 2amp? They've made Flood Inundation, AI zombies, Sabre Fireflight, Winter Contingency Traxus (Basically Team fortress 2). All of those are reach. And also H2A Invasion. Its all Xbox Compatible using tags already in the map files.

The sidekick needs more nerfs. But huge progress though. Its ttk is insane, fastest of all the normal weapons. All it needs now is removal of bloom (which should in theory be lower now cuz of the longer time between shots), lower dmg but increased magsize instead.

How cool would it be to have a node in Forge that triggers an enemy going berserk? It'd be so useful for high-ranking Elites and Hunters.

That lockout remake is the most beautiful forge map I’ve ever seen. I’m a bit of a hater when it comes to forge maps in mainline multiplayer, but I would be 100% on board with that one making it in. God that is gorgeous

Mint really missed the part where they are bringing back the Plasma Pistol's ability to EMP. On the one hand, it's cool to see it returned, on the other, vehicle gameplay is gonna be pain.

The assault rifle needs to outmatch the sidekick. That's why it's a sidekick. It's a handgun. It should be your second choice.

They need to change how shock damage works on vehicles. Getting emp’d by the stupid dyanmo grenades really kills vehicle play

I think that nerfing the sidekick to make the AR better at close quarters is a good thing. The sidekick will still be the option to go to if there is someone at a further range.

Hey Mint. Good vid. Are concered about in showcase for April update they did not announce any other operation passes/updates like they did last live stream. I wander if they will just announce new updates the week before. I had wish they hinted at another future map. It is what it is. Just hope they can do some good things to please community. Hopfully some compensation can be given to forgers for there hard work in future. Perhaps forge comps, for a playlist. We can wish.

I'm very glad the sidekick is being nerfed tbh. It's not the magnum, it's a SIDEKICK, not the star of the show

One thing I wish is that somehow 343 could make Halo mods playable on Xbox because so much of the playerbase is missing out on it

When I was playing halo infinite I thought platinum was the last one to get onyx but later on I realized I needed Diamond lol

I know they mentioned it taking a long time to get community forge maps in match making but why not add a bunch that was recommended by 343 in a workshop playlist before officially dropping them in a normal matchmaking playlist . That would make the most sense tbh

Halo died when 4 came out. To me 3 will forever be the final game with the perfect ending. I'm still waiting on an anniversary edition for 3.

I have wanted a sidekick nerf, but I always thought the proper way to nerf it would be to increase the reaload time slightly. IMO, it reloads so fast that you can barely attempt to counter play the opponent running out of shots with the sidekick. I am quite surprised they ended up choosing to nerf the fire rate.

Hi Remi . It looks like the exchange is bugged as you can buy the items with credits besides the currency showed in sp which is actually really expensive if you accidentally buy them with credits. Also the battle pass is super slow to progress, there are no xp rewards in the pass on top of the daily 500xp missing, so progression is slow af. After 45 min i still hadn’t completed the first level.

a lot of the weapon changes are good or didn't matter but when i heard the side kick change it really made me think of that old saying. 3 steps forward 43 steps back. the sidekick already struggles against the ar and the ar is a whole problem itself. it really blows my mind how the ar hasn't received a nerf yet as the dps and range are both too high.

Old Rooster Teeth died a long time ago unfortunatly. Some great memories there but they are unrecognizable now and they deserve it getting policitacl. Video games are supposed to be an escape from garbage like that

The sidekick was overtuned for the longest time, but I'm more concerned with the AR still being so. With headshot damage multipliers on every weapon, it makes the AR too strong of a starter weapon. The point of starter weapons is you drop em for something better, but are okay in their own right. I think the H3 AR had the best balance as the spread wasn't too bad and it was perfect for getting melee kills against someone with a BR up close.

My guy the Halo era ended in 2010 we were just sitting on it's ashes for the last 14 years.
