One interesting thing is that Eminem starts this song, which is the first on the album, with "Why?". In the last but one song Castle he ends with "Shit, I don't know..." and then in the last song Arose he comes back in time to change his path and the whole album ends with "...now I know..."

See songs like this make it so easy to understand why he's still to this day pissed about the reception of this album. With this album he truly bared his soul as Marshall not Em or Slim. He tried to show his fans who he truly is and how everything especially the fame and criticisms and even the adulation has affected the white kid from Detroit , and rather than appreciating his candidness it was rejected and ridiculed reminiscentof his childhood rejectionby his family and peers. It's just another album that will be appreciated and loved when he's no longer with us. It's just the way people are in the masses. 😔

You know I like all of Eminem's discography. It tells a long life story. From hating on his mother to acknowledging that she only did what she could given the mental health issues she had at the start. And many other issues he has gone through. He is an inspiration no matter how you look at it. He knows what it's like to have nothing to having it all. He knows what it's like to have abuse issues. He had substance issues that he addressed and became sober. He raised his girls better than others have raised their own and the girls love and respect him. And that is out of the spotlight, if you look at those who he inspired, it is remarkable.

This isn't just the song that got me into eminem but rap in general, I was driving with my parents listening to a radio station that I hadn't heard play rap ever before, and then they said something along the lines of "eminem just released a new song with Beyonce called walk on water." And then the song played. It introduced me to a whole new side of rap I didn't know existed, at a time where I was somewhat innocent and didn't like the "gangster vibe" rap gave off. this opened my eyes and showed me rap in its fullest for the first time, not just bits and pieces of rap taken out of context, but a piece of art in its entirety.

Em has a song for every occasion and lets you into his family, demons, insecurities etc. I never really listened to him until 15 years ago as I wasn’t a big fan of some of his more silly records & I didn’t understand rap. Rap never spoke to me as a middle class white collar white boy. I started to hear him talk about his family on a few tracks and relationships & that hit a chord. I hit a few tough patches & some of his songs again helped me and then I dug into his discography to listen to more and more then started to listen to NoLife & a site called indecent something or other to help me listen and understand. NoLife was just starting so I went on that journey snd now graduated to this site & Stevie. Been listening for well over a year if not 2. Got a completely different appreciation to the skill of Em and now I am a full fan of him but still critical of the odd track but what an artist. Why dug someone out who started with nothing & is now king, pays homage, loves hip hop etc etc. This is one of my favourite tracks & you did an awesome job. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 👊

I don’t get why this song is so underrated and hated on. I personally think this is one of his strongest songs. Powerful with so much feeling. Em has it all. Party, crazy, wierd, cruel, deep, motivating, love and sad music. Know name another artist who’s this good in all these topics. This is exactly why Em is one of the greatest. And he’s still going strong. Kamikaze mtbmb side a and b are fire! And yeah revival didn’t do as well but it has its gems for sure. Like this masterpiece.

Walk on Water. Revival.. Destined to be revisited and remembered as a great work by a genius artist. Never forget that Queen's. "Bohemian Rhapsody" and Jackson's "Bad" were initially trashed by the bandwagon jumpers. How silly they look in time.

I swear, no one does breakdowns as precise as you do Knox ! Seriously ! I always appreciate how you explain everything so people who aren't artists or musicians can easily understand it all. Thank you ❤️. Even my 77 year old Mom loves you , she watches RU-vid reaction videos with me when Tom MacDonald puts new music out lol. So that's the videos she usually watches with me . She says he's Soo good at explaining everything. Plus she says he seems like such a nice guy. Lol. She's too cute ❤️.

I love this song. Marshal really made himself vulnerable in this song and this album. Don’t understand the hate it received. I tear up listening this song because of his pain he shares. Perfectionism is something I struggle with in my own life and career. Not living up to everyone else’s standards and let their standards become your own standards. Also love you channel and your breakdowns. You constructively critique but don’t criticize the artist, the poet, the lyricist, the rapper. Amazing! Keep it up!

He’s done a few collabs with singers - really boosts the track. Another string to his bow - he’s a popular artist 👍 He doesn’t deserve criticism - he’s been around since the 90s due to his talent 👏 His fans will never desert him 💪

This song helps make those who say rap isn’t really poetry look dumb… ignorant… whatever you want to say. This is poetry put to music. Could’ve named the song “goosebumps” being it fails not to give them. Great reaction

I didn't expect this song to get tears in my eyes, but here we are. Almost all of Em's songs have a memory attached to them. Where I was when I was listening it, what was going on. I had just went to up north to Finnish lapland to our cabin for the winter first time, and I was walking in the crisp, cold (-20C) weather with my past dog, my true love and friend. There were no lights, just the moon lighting the way in the snow. And we walk to the lake, like always and were walking on it, listening this song. We were walking on water, no other people to see. Just me and my friend. I felt relaxed, happy. So guess I need to be careful with this song too. The one I haven't been able to listen since she past is "Rock Bottom". Not going there alone.

I'm so sad to see eminem get hate because he seems like he's "evil", but in his raps he always has a meaning that is not and is meant to sound a certain way to create multiple interpretations. Every word in every sentence is made to mean so many different things but if your a true fan it all makes sense. If you're not it doesn't and he simply doesn't care. Eminem is the true goat

walk on water, castle, and arose just has him spilling his thoughts. i can’t understand why people disliked it, aside from the pretty much non-existent beat and the beyoncé chorus. but, all in all this song has so much soul and vulnerability.
