I'm so glad this game lived up to my hype. I can't wait for more story content. This world is way too interesting and these characters are so well written.
I still find it hilarious that of all the foods Vergillius could have bought them to cheer them up after fighting nail wielding maniacs, and seeing all those impaled people, was chicken skewers.
One thing I see people get wrong is that, "He" is actually really strong. For comparison, The Pianist, who casually murdered 300000 was only a WaW. The only reason the employees even stood a chance against them Alephs is because the funny gas.
I still love how Vergilius goes and buys the team chicken skewers knowing full well they just saw their friends be impaled and skewed by multiple nails. Such a powerful character.

I think Dante considered the mission a failure because they 100% all would have died (Dante included) if it wasn't for the intervention of a completely unexpected ally. They just weren't strong enough to beat Kromer on their own.
Can I also point out that Project Moon added more bleed identities to the game with the N Corp banner. I’ve seen people trying to flex by using N Corp identities against N Corp only for Kromer to completely prank them.
Sonya foreshadows Demain with his whole talk about "the child" Dante will meet and in that very scene Sinclair notices a mark similar to how he did with Demain's in his forehead. I actually like how fucking annoying Kromer's fight is after the fix. It just feels the level of cruelty I expect from the City. Her Yandere tendencies and how fucking horrible of a person she is makes her a pretty compelling minor antagonist. I will say though, her whole ideology kinda feels like an even more twisted version of Carmen's during LoR, falling in love with the "true nature of humanity" being distortions.
They mentioned the marks in chapter 2, Sonya says he has a Mark and rodion doesn't and that rodion is just ordinary and he has not, he then says that some of your companions have marks but you don't

In case you haven't caught on, the thing Kromer turns into is completely resembling the Sin creatures, mainly, the one abt Lust. Yes, she is 100%, a Yandere, and she 100% mean the innuendos for Sinclair on every meaning. Also the first phase of Kromer is the same song as the 2nd phase, but different parts of the same song, I am surprised that you didn't recognize Milis voice at the first phase.
I mean, I don’t think Lust here means simple lust, since our characters do have Lust attacks as well and that’s not them being horny. I imagine Lust is something like a rapturous passion. In Kromer’s and the Inquisition’s case, aside from their machine racism, they were also pretty much pain worshippers who enjoyed getting mutilated, so that’s probably the reason for Kromer’s Lust alignment.
@@KeiosKod Well, here is the thing that is something to considerSinclair noticed that the lust peccutalae also has Kroger’s gaze in which they keep looking at him in the observation notes. So yeah she is def a psycho to him.
It seems after every chapter the corresponding sinners becomes a bit closer to Dante, next chapter would be the group's emo kid, if he also become a bit friendlier to Dante later on, i kinda afraid what will happen at the end of chapter 12.

16:52 The lyrics were taking a piss at you. The ego you used was 4th match flame and the lyrics went "why does a common fire hold so much power?" since you had a 3/4 chance to win that clash. And yet you still took the 1/4 chance to L as if kromer was pissed at your good odds.
i just love the fact that Vergilius gave the sinners chicken skewers and the gang is just chilling while Dante is traumatized out of their mind, got their lower half melted and had to endure the pain of being melted 12 times over with additional fatal wounds, no wonder Dante didnt look all that happy in the credit art 😭
Straight up, Demian's appearance made me go to my local pride parade. The power of yaoi was able to defeat… Whatever the hell Kromer turned into. Also, I will definitely do a tier list for how crazy each sinner is. It’s gonna be equal to the level of shit posting my Library Of Ruina Floor Tier list and Guilty Gear Strive Music Tier List. And the first clip against Kromer is when her passives didn't work and the second is unfortunately when they did work.
About Kromer and song. On the 2nd phase Kromer singing to Carmen (Lobotomy corp.) cuz it’s her who talk with Kromer. As all we know Carmen give a choice but Kromer doesn’t want to become better person, she wants this power so hard and didn’t rejected Carmen. So E.G.O corrupted her

If you're curious, defensive dice add the roll as temporary HP. Rolls 20 on defensive dice = temporary +20 hp, so the damage hits your temporary HP that goes away at the end of the scene anyway, and if the HP you got from the defensive dice is higher than the damage you take, then obviously it'll effectively "block" the attack.
I think Sinclair gets a bonus to that event check during the second phase, but I don't know if you need the EGO gift for that to work. Also if he's in the team Kromer will always target him when she does the "target is staggered next turn" attack.
It's really weird how she's a HE. If I compare her to other HE abnormalities like the scarecrow or all around helper I can't see her being that low. I guess that just shows how good LCs deterrence system is
Two things 1. Kromer has to be the strongest (aside from Little Bird) Teth Abno we have seen in PM. 2. Tsunal having that little stroke when he saw "You must accept the pain!" Made me just nod and remember my 10 tries against Kromer with a Bleed and Sinking heavy team.
Just realized that the actual abno version of Kromer is HE, never caught that on my run through. But given that Lob Corp had a lot of scary fuckin HE's I'd say she would probably be lower than Der Freischütz but maybe higher than Laetitia since we never see how the gifts of the little witch affect bigger bodies vs a gunman that would probably have the same result as Demian.
Considering that they're only using normal gear against them it makes lots of sense. For the LC players out there, the beat stick was a normal (but weak af) weapon that would do nothing if you just used it on an abno. Now think of this high tech gear and now you get some perspective on how much were gonna get butt fucked by ALEPHs. I hope I see Nobody Is.

Flower spores: Inflict Fragile and Tremor, if Flower bloom lasts for more than 10 turns Sinner will die and become a Flower. To counter this status affect we can target our allies and deal only 3 sp dmg as a side effect for hitting them! Hope PM doesnt see this and actually implement this because I will actually distort!
Also, that would mean the countergroup for our Sinners is slowly emerging. Yi Sang - Gubo Hong Lu - his brother Rodion - Sonya Sinclair - Demian Gregor - Hermann We'll end up with them gunning our Sinners one each, much like each member of the Reverberation Ensemble went after their own floor of the Library.

This is the dungeon I finally was gripped by the story. And unfortunately that's the end of the current game so... Kinda rough. Really hope Kromer shows up (with her music) in later repeatable content and isn't stuck in the dungeon which you'd replay only for fun, which I am not opposed to doing.
The entire boss theme is called Between Two Worlds by the goat Mili. Its actually a 2 phase song with he first one on normal Kromer being called Realm of Light and the flesh abomination Kromer being called Realm of Darkness. The texts that appears throughout the fight classic PM style is actually just the lyrics of the song. The song btw is intended to sound like a christmas song. (Been listening to it nonstop and I love it) With the "a sign" on 3 strokes, fighting Kromer with Sinclair would give Sinclair a permanent 1 strength and 2 protection throughout the fight and its also the same sign thst is on Demians forehead, and from my experience of having to fight Kromer for 4 days, i learned that in the last floor if you had all 3 tokens from the trials that Mariachi Sinclair can actually clesr all of them, you get another sign in case you miss out on one of the other 3 prior and another EGO thst reduces damage from Lust attacks, ehich i what Phase 2 Kromer is. It was still a hard fought battle but I ultimately finally won. And yes heathcliff, those Kebabs are peak.
i found this fight to be extremely simple since i had meursault, meursault's EGO is straight up a boss killer with free -4 power turns, surprised you didnt see that anywhere when looking up a guide. also the fact that her bleed passive didnt even work until a bit ago.
To those having trouble with the kromer fight, abuse merasualt ego, and have him be the "martyr" for getting staggered since 1. He's already getting nerfed 2. He's gets a passive for when three attacks are hitting him he gets damage reduction, and kroner seems to hard focus the stagger (plus the bind will make it even the slowest can redirect)
this is the way, speed is king as it allows you to control the clashes, except I actually had 2 blunt damage characters and just sacrificed heathcliff to the stagger, i was using wcorp meursault so his damage was ok
I got W salt and he's disappointing. He has high charge cost and he can barely generate it. His main generation comes from his passive but it requires him to take a beating. Compare this to Faust where her passive allows her to get quite the charge generation if she can win the combat. Compared to rabbit cliff (which I also own) W salt just takes the L.
@@wingdingfontbro Honestly bro just his his base identity if you dont have N Corp (Im aware of her self buff, but n Corp is just that strong) Liu if you just dont like your base identity, but the main crux is that hes strong against calses with a single coin, because he just overwhelmes them with many coins, will they do damage? probably not, and your not really relying on his charge sadly to be useful.
@@xerxese5433 yeah his damage is terrible, but hes really good at just staying there soaking hits and wasting coins, W salt is also stupidly fast for some reason so he can redirect and take those hits, imo he works fine, he just don't do damage, I do agree he need a buff on the charge generation though
One thing I found to be really interesting is how the default EGOs relate to the story of the character, most notably the little barred window in the EGO art. For example, Branch of Knowledge shows Sinclair's family at the dinner table. Makes me excited for the future chapters; some of the images are real interesting.
And here we have reached the end of this batch of Story. I am happy with what we got so far and exited for the next. Next chapter will be Yi Sang, so that will be some wierd shit going down.

A couple of things: I just loved the fact that u just went "fuck it I don't read shit" on the Kromer fight. I was hoping some reaction on the "The Gripping" attack cuz it staggers your ass even if u win the clash cuz thats what the skills says but nope. A detail that I liked was the fact that demian symbol and the "Sign" stuff that gives Sinclair the buff are the same symbol, atm Its my first experience with PM and its refreshing seeing a company this unique and gives so much love to the story and the details.
"The Sign" is also the same as the crack on the egg (on Sinclair's Ego shard). And in addition, it resembles the shape his halberd takes when using his EGO "Branch of Knowledge"
Ok, im going to be 100% real with yeah that if Demian is blue color then it going to be like the blue reverberation all over again 100% we going to fight him and his distortion gang as we saw in the trailer it the blue reverberation all over again.
"that's it" my guy you are seriously underestimating just how much +1 in every clash matters, it's actually one of the biggest reasons why there's a difficulty spike. When two skills clash, if one of them has 5 more offense power than the other it gets +1 to the clash roll. The terminology is a little fucked, but basically tl;dr when enemies are higher level than you they get +1 to their rolls which is why there are such huge difficulty spikes.
GGregor is really REALLY good. His health regen makes him very difficult to kill. You can heal back so much health with his skills it's insane. Kromer fight... I had to beat her with half my team being blunt. LCCB Ishmael's rupture stacks and fragile infliction allowed me to win. P.s: Sinclair and Demian are going on a date once our boy Emil regains his self confidence. Can't wait for that!
You don't have to redo the dungeon to change your team. As far as I'm aware you can just quit back to main menu, adjust your team there or level it up, and then press resume on the story dungeon to continue where you left off.
Damn... My team was much worse than yours, there weren't even any 3* in it, and yet, i managed to beat phase 2 first try. Only lost one time on Phase 1, because i initially had bleed characters in team.
It's all about the setup. You can do this fight with most of your team being base sinners but it can get a little difficult since you're lacking a lot of options. If you include 00 identities it becomes very doable. 000s aren't much stronger than 00s to begin with so the fight will only get a little easier if you include them too.
Her second title - Dreamer of human wholeness make her even worse than those she seeks to slay is somehow very irony. But the city is kinda fucked up so I guess that is not a wrong way to call her
i did kromer first try with kuro ryushu, kuro honglu, N meurs, base heathcliff and base outis i dont know anything before enter and having hard time cause i cant basically do anything w/o inflict bleed/burn i just accept perma +3 power on kromer basically and somehow all of them survive, N meurs is so great for tanking man, literally the most tanky thanks to his ego passive and skill 1 (reduce stagger threshold on himself) kuro honglu also have really good card, even tho i cant produce gloom for his ego, i still bring him, guy can do 150+dmg if anyone got stagger
BTW Defense adds an amount of temporary blue Hp for the turn equal to the amount rolled (10- 20) you'll see a chunk of blue at the top of the defender's hp bar appear guess its so you're guranteed to receive less damage, and maybe not get staggered by the next move
W corp dom carried me throught the third floor. It gets really hard, really quick, too bad i hadnt any decent sinclair identity. My strategy to beat her was, NO burn or bleed at all, not spamming EGO, instead holding on them and using the EGO to protect the gazed sinner while spamming a lot of rupture and poise with he G corp Outis buffs. The Yi Sang haste from his EGO was really useful too.
An interesting fact about this fight: if you use the one who shall grip Sinclair identity, she'll be staggerd the first turn because of it being "her" Sinclair.
I think they need to add a skip button for ego animations... As cool as they look, seeing them for 100th time is annoying, i wish to just not waste my time on that. Althoguh, it might bee easier said than done, because the damage calculation is probably tied to the animation.

I remember using only basic unit for this boss fight, I won somehow. Maybe because I level the basic identity to level 25 and 30 but Still duable. I might try to beat all the upcoming chapter with only basic unit.
QUESTION for some reason in my game I lost the kromer fight but the ending still played BUT skipped right to the point where the weird scarfed guy showed up- idk whaT happened
one tip if we all have to repeat this fight ever again , i suggest is using mersaults ego to get arround her strong clashes . it is easy to generate and can be therefor easly applied at most times . it never really struggles against kromers moves 1st or 2nd form . and enables your general characters to clash win with regular attacks . my theoretical strongest team against her would be wcorp don clerk faust base(d) mersault gcorp gregor and the last is optional given you avoid bleed and burn .
God I hate Kromer in both cutscenes and battle! Her boss fight was total ass I still haven’t began her yet . Her attacks seem to always be on heads and she seems to have unlimited attacks . Don’t get me started on how we can’t even start the 2 phase immediately after losing
2nd phase not starting doesn’t bother me tbh but if your rolls aren’t really able to handle her’s then it’s prob since your sinner’s sanity is not high or even in the positive. (Still her aoe just rolling heads while yours rolls tails is extremely infuriating)
