There was this quote from one of my friends that went something like “You can’t miss something you weren’t alive for” Which goes for us who were born after Conrail was gone. However I still miss it. Goodbye Conrail.
My dad worked at BN, his vietnam friend lived on the east coast worked at conrail ...Conrail was the best railway job ever, my mom made my dads lunch box while his friend got to use the cafeteria, everything at conrail sounded like it was a great company....
@@AustinTheRailfan from what I was told Conrail had government cooks and made top notch meals from meat loaf to pot roast, mashed potatoes and many other things ....they did not charge employees
Conrail isn't entirely gone there is still CSAO which means conrail shared assets operations but is ran by both csx and ns. But conrail colors are definitely gone
Yes, I, and probably many LOVE the Chessie System, considering a man literally illegally did a Chessie Heritage on CSX 6914, which funny thing is, it once worked in the Chessie System!
NOT a fan of Big Blue and never will be. It became necessary for all the wrong reasons. And now those reasons are coming back. Will we see ConRail 2.0?
