Rider is easily the most charismatic heroic spirit ever, he is just the GOAT in F/Zero. We also see a part of Gilgamesh personality which is why he is beloved by a lot of Fate fans. Him saying that he only has one friend, remember the guy in Strange Fake? Yeah, he is talking about that. Gilgamesh didn't have to use EA to kill Rider but he did anyway because he respect him like that.

Doesn't make the video any less fun to watch again. Also... Berserkerlot... It should now make perfect sense why he was so weirdly obsessed with Saber... I mean... Man did sleep with Saber's wife and iirc killed like 1/3rd of his fellow Knights of the Round Table or something like that... As for Gil vs Rider... Yeah Gil is one of the few characters who can casually break Reality Marbles... Which makes him not using it against Shirou in UBW even funnier because Gil HAD the perfect weapon to frame one win that fight... And chose not to use it because Shirou isn't worthy of it... And the Chains of Heaven... Iskandar was supposedly the son of Zues iirc so... They'd be pretty potent against him.

Best Fate adaptation I’ve seen. And this was the very first Fate series I’ve been introduced into the franchise with. I couldn’t have picked a better entry to Fate.

Gilgamesh may be a pompous asshole, but he still has a heart and he gives respect where it's deserved. Rider aside, WAVER VELVET, arguably the most insignificant master in the show, got Gilgamesh to respect him and even praise his loyalty. Both of them getting compliments from the King of Heroe's within the span of like 5 minutes is nuts.

I feel like I'm sounding like a broken record at this point, but Iskandar is such a goat. Even Gilgamesh being the absolute arrogant prick that he is, recognizes how much of a goat Iskandar is...

The farther back you are in history the more powerful you are as a servant. That's how Fate works. Only exceptions are stuff like Grand Servants. Gil being op ain't his fault lol.

While i mostly hate Gilgamesh through out the franchise (dont get me wrong he is a cool character) but this ep is one of few moments that make Gilgamesh really likable to me. Gilgamesh respects Rider as a fellow king and respect Waver as a loyalty subject which he doesnt do that very often with other characters even Saber.

Gilgamesh is definitely in the 100 strongest characters in the fate series

As much of an arrogant d-bag Gil is, there are those rare times like in this episode, where you can actually see it...what backs up his arrogance. Even if his younger and older selves both hate this version of him for it...

Yea strange fake doesn’t really show Gil and Enkidus Enuma Elish noble phantasms it shows them chant and activate them as well as the aftermath but it’s shown best in Fate Babylonia.
