Man. Its finally setting in that were at the end of an era. I remember buying rivals day 1 of early access and watching it grow along with my enjoyment of it. Played it less and melee more as time went on but il never forget what this game did for me😭

man i used to compete in this game so much, frostbite 2020 was my last time playing seriously. super happy to recognize so many players here, and i'm glad the game is still alive. super big props to soulrifle and kusi for keeping at it for all these years, i'm really surprised to see them at the top, but it's definitely deserved. i'm definitely very excited for rivals 2! o7 see yall there

I know very little about rivals of aether, just knew about what it was. But after seeing this video in my recommended a couple times I decided to watch it. Everything about this video is incredibly well put together and easy to follow. Amazing video man, makes me want to try rivals. Great work!

1. I have to say your editing is really good. Like dude the music selection is actually freaking amazing and syncs so well with the video! 2. Great video coming from someone who knows barely anything about rivals of aether besides the basics mechanics! You did a great job at telling a great story throughout this video! Though it was always weird having Cake come to your melee superlocals often and not knowing the game at all. 3. I guess a question I have for you, coming from someone completely new to the scene, why didn't it grow as large as it felt like it should have? I played a little of it and was there when it was first introduced and I liked it. But that was kind of it, at least to me?

As much I've never been that great of a rivals player or ever playing it seriously, I'm still glad for playing it, being one of my favorite games to play period. Hoping that rivals 2 continues what the first brought, even if I don't find myself as interested in it was the original, and that it does well.

I really appreciate you putting this together, as I'm someone who's been in and out of the game for a good while. The elegant writing and presentation not only brought me up to speed, but rekindled the passion I once felt for Rivals. They're not the same person but I can see how it'd be confusing lol. Kusi and Moosseff are two Canadian players who are pretty good friends, but Moosseff hasn't been able to travel to an event yet. Kusi plays with Moosseff's in-game tag very often as a way to give him a shoutout when he's on stream
