Today we finally reach the southern tip of Baja, and the end of the road for our Baja van life adventure. To celebrate the accomplishment of driving the entire Baja peninsula, for some reason we decided to jump out of a plane and skydive for the first time... 😭✈️
We also explore Cabo San Lucas a bit, taking a glass-bottom boat to see the Arch of Cabo San Lucas 🏝

The pilot looked a little sketchy but he obviously did a satisfactory job. Never get in a plane where the pilot is wearing a parachute and you are not. I have over 8000 flight hours; I've never had a desire to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. Good on ya!

It's funny you mention that about the pilot because we DID notice him swearing in Spanish which made us a little nervous that something was wrong 😅 Thankfully we made it down okay though! Jimmy and I have both said we'd definitely do it again! 💚

Was on a military plane once were they had to come back and add 5 gallons of hydraulic fluid during a 15 minute flight so that was a flight I wished I'd had a parachute😮😄

Well that was fun and unexpected...and no cookies were tossed during the making of this cool video! I've done the Highway 1 trip from Portland, OR to Dana Point, CA...and of course I-5 to San Diego....but never crossed into Mexico. It's on the list. Skydiving? Good for you 3....I'll never jump out of a perfectly good airplane. haha.

Speaking from experience, skydiving was the biggest thrill of my life. My plane took off just after sunset, so I got to see the sun set for a second time over the Diablo mountain range in central California. I jumped solo (after training all day) and Natalie’s right, it was the most peaceful and relaxing ride down. There was a bullseye on the ground that was my target. I missed it by only six feet! Definitely a thrill of a lifetime.

great video! Last year my son and i drove from Ontario Canada down to Key West Florida. We took a week to get there and 5 days to get home, stopping many, many different places along the way. We drove 3880 miles in 12 days.

When I would go out on a boat to scuba dive, I would take Bonine the night before, and then the morning an hour or more before getting on the boat. It has to be in your system to equalize you to the actual earth.

I hope you get to take the “east cape road” back up north. It’s a 50 mile long dirt road from Cabo San Jose, to La Ribera. Totally ok in your promaster, as that’s what I have. ( you will have to Air down ) Los Frailes is on the edge of Cabo Pulmo National Park. There is amazing snorkeling and paddle boarding.

Looks like a great adventure! I'm actually heading that way next week, crossing into Mexicali on Monday morning (although with a travel trailer and a large dog, rather than a van). I think I'm going to pass on the skydiving, though 🙂
