It’s been half a century since two armed bandits stole the equivalent of around $80,000, in a mid-morning heist, on a train passing through the rainforest above Cairns in Far North Queensland. The pair have never been caught. Here, a passenger on the train - then a schoolgirl - and the rail guard both share their recollections of the incident. We also hear from a historian and a modern train driver, all of whom are perplexed as to why so few people know about the incident.
