Harris quote says it best: “The difference between patriotism and nationalism is that the patriot is proud of his country for what it does, and the nationalist is proud of his country no matter what it does; the first attitude creates a feeling of responsibility, but the second a feeling of blind arrogance that leads to war.” Standing for our foundations is good, but we still should condemn terrible practices that our founding fathers partook in like slavery.
He’s asking a man born in 1989 if he’s named after a character from a TV show that started in 1999 because they share the same last name. There are several things wrong just with this aspect of it.
