Can you explain about this👇👇 "The test should be made by connecting together the neutral and protective conductors at the mains position and checking between earth and neutral at every outlet by a continuity tester, which should show a reading near zero."
HI Mounika, Thanks for the comment. The usual test is connecting the Line and Protective conductors together (Isolated of course) This is your R1+R2. R1 is the Line (Live) and R2 is the CPC. The reading will depend on the length of this loop. All cable has some resistance, But you would expect a very low Ohms reading. So if you have 20 meters of 2.5mm2 twin and earth cable The expected R1+R2 would be around 0.39 ohms.
