1) Adhaan right ear of baby Iqaahmah in the left ear 2) chewed date for baby 3) shave hair of newborn should be 7 - 14 days then give charity weight of the hair in silver (or just £10) 4) aqeeqah on the 7th day or the 14th day when the child is born. 1 goat / sheep for baby girl & 2 for boy and a portion should be given to the poor 5) males must be circumcised. Fgm is not Islamic and is haram 6) make dua for any new born

Salaam, what to make of the shaved baby hair? Dispose of it in trash / bury it?

For the date part, some babies are born with dangerously low blood sugar levels. The doctors would take a blood sample and to see if they should give it a glucose shot or not. There was a couple that followed this sunnah and the doctor was surprised to find out that the blood sugar levels returned to normal.

It's what is ordained. We accept as is. Even in nikkah a women needs two females in order to make up for one man as a witness if there's no man as a witness and a man needs one witness.

Salam, I am not defending FGM, in fact i think its evil. However, i have read that the prophet approved FGM in a few authentic hadiths? So how can you say its haram when there are hadiths on it? If somebody could respond with evidences and a detail response itll be great, thank u

Waalaikumassalam, the circumcision was of the skin, not of the actual genitals, so it doesn't count as FGM. FGM involves extreme cutting and sewing of certain parts including flesh. Female circumcision is as harmless as male circumcision, but in today's society since it is not common and there are hardly any experts in performing it, it is basically becoming very rare because it is not an obligation for females.
