My mother talking about what she liked during her pelgrimage : oh i loved Medina and the people of Medina. I could not understand the language spoken there (Saoudi Arabia) but subhaan Allah i could undestand everything in Medina. You don't want to leave that place and its people. My mother could not be influenced by any hadith, she was not even arabophone, and the whole family, in spite of being very strict as to the religious duties, was ignorant of islamic History and islamic "stories" except for a few. And sometimes you hear things like " Hadiths are invented...." yes a few are, but our Nabi salla Allahu 3aleyhi wa sallam left us the truth said by the best of human creation besides the truth by Allah 3azza wa jal ☝️🕋❤

﴿٢﴾ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ 2 Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. ﴿٢﴾ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ 2 Allah. There is no god but He-the Living, the Eternal. ﴿٤﴾ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ 4 To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. And He is the Sublime, the Magnificent. ﴿١١﴾ فَاطِرُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ جَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا وَمِنَ الْأَنْعَامِ أَزْوَاجًا ۖ يَذْرَؤُكُمْ فِيهِ ۚ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ ۖ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ 11 The Originator of the heavens and the earth. He made for you mates from among yourselves, and pairs of animals, through which He multiplies you. There is nothing like Him. He is the Hearing, the Seeing. ﴿٢٠﴾ قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَدْعُو رَبِّي وَلَا أُشْرِكُ بِهِ أَحَدًا 20 Say, “I pray only to my Lord, and I never associate anyone with Him.” ﴿٢١﴾ قُلْ إِنِّي لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا رَشَدًا 21 Say, “It is not in my power to harm you, nor to bring you to right conduct.” ﴿٢٢﴾ قُلْ إِنِّي لَنْ يُجِيرَنِي مِنَ اللَّهِ أَحَدٌ وَلَنْ أَجِدَ مِنْ دُونِهِ مُلْتَحَدًا 22 Say, “None will protect me from Allah; and I will find no refuge, except in Him. ﴿٢٣﴾ إِلَّا بَلَاغًا مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرِسَالَاتِهِ ۚ وَمَنْ يَعْصِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَإِنَّ لَهُ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا 23 Except for a proclamation from Allah and His messages. Whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger-for him is the Fire of Hell, remaining in it forever.” ﴿١٥٨﴾ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُمْ جَمِيعًا الَّذِي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ ۖ فَآمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ النَّبِيِّ الْأُمِّيِّ الَّذِي يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَكَلِمَاتِهِ وَاتَّبِعُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ 158 Say, “O people, I am Allah’s Messenger to you all-He to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. There is no god except He. He gives life, and He causes death.” So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the Gentile Prophet, who believes in Allah and His Words. And follow him, so that you may be guided. ﴿٤٩﴾ نَبِّئْ عِبَادِي أَنِّي أَنَا الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ 49 Inform My worshipers that I am the Forgiver, the Merciful. ﴿٥٠﴾ وَأَنَّ عَذَابِي هُوَ الْعَذَابُ الْأَلِيمُ 50 And that My punishment is the painful punishment. ﴿٩٠﴾ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّمَا الْخَمْرُ وَالْمَيْسِرُ وَالْأَنْصَابُ وَالْأَزْلَامُ رِجْسٌ مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ 90 O you who believe! Intoxicants, gambling, idolatry, and fortune-telling are abominations of Satan’s doing. So avoid them, so you may succeed. ﴿٩١﴾ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَنْ يُوقِعَ بَيْنَكُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ فِي الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَيْسِرِ وَيَصُدَّكُمْ عَنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَعَنِ الصَّلَاةِ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُنْتَهُونَ 91 Satan only desires to provoke enmity and hatred among you through intoxicants and gambling, and to deter you from the remembrance of Allah, and from prayer. Will you not give them up? ﴿٩٢﴾ وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَاحْذَرُوا ۚ فَإِنْ تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا عَلَىٰ رَسُولِنَا الْبَلَاغُ الْمُبِينُ 92 Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and be careful. If you turn away: know that Our Messenger’s duty is clear communication. ﴿٧٤﴾ إِنَّهُ مَنْ يَأْتِ رَبَّهُ مُجْرِمًا فَإِنَّ لَهُ جَهَنَّمَ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ 74 Whoever comes to his Lord guilty, for him is Hell, where he neither dies nor lives. ﴿٧٥﴾ وَمَنْ يَأْتِهِ مُؤْمِنًا قَدْ عَمِلَ الصَّالِحَاتِ فَأُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمُ الدَّرَجَاتُ الْعُلَىٰ 75 But whoever comes to Him as a believer, having worked righteousness, theirs will be the highest ranks. ﴿٧٦﴾ جَنَّاتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَاءُ مَنْ تَزَكَّىٰ 76 The Gardens of Eden, under which rivers flow, where they will stay forever. That is the reward for whoever purifies himself. ﴿٦٨﴾ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ وَلَا يَقْتُلُونَ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا يَزْنُونَ ۚ وَمَنْ يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ يَلْقَ أَثَامًا 68 And those who do not implore besides Allah any other god, and do not kill the soul which Allah has made sacred-except in the pursuit of justice-and do not commit adultery. Whoever does that will face penalties. ﴿٦٩﴾ يُضَاعَفْ لَهُ الْعَذَابُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَيَخْلُدْ فِيهِ مُهَانًا 69 The punishment will be multiplied for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will remain in it forever, humiliated. ﴿٧٠﴾ إِلَّا مَنْ تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا فَأُولَٰئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ اللَّهُ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ حَسَنَاتٍ ۗ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا 70 Except for those who repent, and believe, and perform righteous deeds. These-Allah will replace their bad deeds with good deeds. Allah is ever Forgiving, Most Merciful. ﴿٧١﴾ وَمَنْ تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَإِنَّهُ يَتُوبُ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَتَابًا 71 Whoever repents and acts righteously-has returned to Allah in repentance. ﴿٨٠﴾ وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ أَتَأْتُونَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مَا سَبَقَكُمْ بِهَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِنَ الْعَالَمِينَ 80 And Lot, when he said to his people, “Do you commit lewdness no people anywhere have ever committed before you?” ﴿٨١﴾ إِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الرِّجَالَ شَهْوَةً مِنْ دُونِ النِّسَاءِ ۚ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ مُسْرِفُونَ 81 “You lust after men rather than women. You are excessive people.” ﴿٨٢﴾ وَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا أَخْرِجُوهُمْ مِنْ قَرْيَتِكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ أُنَاسٌ يَتَطَهَّرُونَ 82 But his people's only response was to say, “Expel them from your town; they are purist people.” ﴿٨٣﴾ فَأَنْجَيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ إِلَّا امْرَأَتَهُ كَانَتْ مِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ 83 So We saved him and his family, except for his wife; she was among those who lagged behind. ﴿٨٤﴾ وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَطَرًا ۖ فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُجْرِمِينَ 84 And We rained down on them a rain. So note the consequences for the guilty. ﴿٢٢٢﴾ وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْمَحِيضِ ۖ قُلْ هُوَ أَذًى فَاعْتَزِلُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي الْمَحِيضِ ۖ وَلَا تَقْرَبُوهُنَّ حَتَّىٰ يَطْهُرْنَ ۖ فَإِذَا تَطَهَّرْنَ فَأْتُوهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَمَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ 222 And they ask you about menstruation: say, “It is harmful, so stay away from women during menstruation. And do not approach them until they have become pure. Once they have become pure, approach them in the manner Allah has directed you.” Allah loves the repentant, and He loves those who keep clean.” Please send it to all Muslims
It has been reported that Jesus in bible had predicted the coming of final prophet Ahmed around Mecca which could have led to jews in fertile Medina and Mecca
Great lecture but I reject the statement that arabic was not around at the time of the naming of yathrib. Ancient south arabian/ north arabian languages which are largely extinct now have been around for millennia. They are semitic languages that ancient arabs spoke and similar in grammar/ lexicon to modern standard arabic (Fusha) today. Please note the modern standard arabic that we have today is the language of the Quraish tribe of Mecca specifically. All arabs now speak the language of Quraish due to the advent of islam and the holy Quran which was sent by god in Quraish's tongue. There are still some small tribal confederations around Yemen/ Saudi that speak a form of these extinct ancient south arabian dialects. Such as the Mehri dialect or Socotri dialect.
Yathrib is the only agricultural city in the Arabian Peninsula!!!!!!!!! To clarify, the Arabian Peninsula is not the Hijaz region. It is larger than that in Yemen. Agriculture was widespread, as was eastern Arabia and taif. Many who talk about the history of the Arabian Peninsula before Islam talk about Mecca and Medina. The Arabian Peninsula is larger than that.
