The background music is annoying. Also, while this video was just released in Oct 2024, it reflects the reality and opinions closer to 2020. Like, it's obvious at this point that EVs will take over. It might not seem like that in North America, but that's because it is lagging behind the rest of the world in EV adoption. I still, recently, had someone say to me "yeah, but even if we switch to EVs, it won't matter because places like China will still be polluting!" and they were shocked when I told them that 50% of new cars sold in China came with a plug and is responsible for around half of the global renewable energy growth and that N. America is actually lagging way behind the rest of the world. Also, some actual stats would be really helpful. Like how batteries have come down in cost by 50% in the last year alone, while energy density is set to double and charging time is coming down to around 10min to go from 10 - 80%. How thousands of EV chargers are being installed every year and it's now no issue at all to road trip almost anywhere, with there being chargers at least every 150km along all major highways, while EVs with over 500km range are easy to find and affordable (significantly cheaper than the average new car price). How there is now a huge boom in new electricity generation, almost all of it non-CO2 emitting with investments in solar now higher than all other energy sectors combined. These are facts that don't just sound like airy fairy feel good aspirations.
