This is my all time favorite oldies song. I found my mother's box of old 45's when I was in the 2nd grade. I played them over and over on her old hi fi stereo. But the record I was obsessed with was Cathy's Clown. I couldn't get enough of it. It had such a unique sound. The only other song to touch my soul this way came in 1979, when I was a freshman in high school. That song is Heart of Glass, by Blondie. Two #1 songs that have given me enormous pleasure.
