But why did the son say that he thought they had until the end of the month to get out? But the parents said they had no clue, never went to court, and never received any of the 3 notices that was posted on the door? Here in Florida they tape, staple, super glue, lol the paper to the front door so there is no excuse that it blew away, and it's in clear plastic to protect from rain. Smh! Son snitched on them, and the parents was lying about something. If the courts did cover 2 months rent for them and they never paid it back, that could be the cause of the eviction. I don't know.
They didn't post three notices. They came three times and when no one answered the third time then they posted it on the door. They were trying to give it to them in person. The courts didn't cover them, the bank did. And the son didn't snitch on them. They knew they were leaving but I guess their cheque bounced so they kicked them out right away. Almost nothing you said in your comment is accurate.
I would just like to take time out and thank my parents for keeping it together and NEVER having me or my brother go through this! I know there were times they struggled financially
There's no excuse for ANYONE to go through this. I managed a 46-unit apartment complex for several years and I know how long it takes for the eviction process to go through. There's NO WAY these people didn't know that this was going to happen. You get an initial eviction notice , you have time to go to court, you have time to find the money you owe, very often you can negotiate a payment plan with the landlord, but an eviction never happens overnight without anyone telling you. It takes weeks to go through all the steps. And it's no good saying you didn't get the notice because the process server tapes it to your door if nobody is home to hand it to. And he takes photos of it on the door before he leaves. That's the worst excuse for tenants to use - "I didn't get any notice. I had no idea this was happening". Usually the tenant has been falling behind or being late paying rent for several months and the landlord at some point has told them that if things don't get paid by a certain date, eviction will be going ahead. And dumping your anger on the eviction team is ridiculous. They're just doing their job. They have never even heard your name before they're told to come to your address tomorrow morning to start moving stuff out. They had no involvement in your eviction and they don't even know you exist, so for you to take out your anger on them is going to get you arrested on an assault charge. You need to deal with your landlord and maybe your bank - nobody else knows what your situation is. And the #1 common sense rule is: PAY YOUR RENT FIRST. It doesn't matter what other bills you have; it doesn't matter if your favorite rock band is in town and you want to go see them. PAY YOUR RENT the minute you get your paycheck and then you don't have to worry about being short of money for rent. It's very unfair of adults to get careless with money to the point that they can't pay their rent, leaving their kids to have to go through the eviction process. It's too hard on kids to have to move in the middle of the school year, maybe having to change schools and moving away from all their friends.
I tell my son every month to put away $10-$20 a month. It will add up when you need it. That’s how we got thru tough times we had a small savings account. Enough to pay 1 month of mortgage and utilities.

The daughter got a little sassy but it's understandable. I felt real bad for the boy and apparently their are 2 small children too. 😕 Oh, and the dog. She seemed to be a good girl just wanted to know who was in her house
I knew a family in my town where the Mom was a spender and did not pay the taxes and threw away all the notices. When the sheriff showed up to evict them she just started walking down the street. The Dad and kids were in shock.
This time all the lies in the world won't make the eviction go away. Hopefully it will sting enough to make sure they pay the rent and not let the kids be tramatized.😢
I just feel bad for the kids, my heart sank for the young girl, my daughter is about that age and I could not even imagine putting her through this. The "parents" we obviously milking it till the very last second, but that is just so unfair to the kids.
I feel so bad for them. I remember when I was a kid and me and my brother got off the school bus and everything was on the front lawn. We were so confused. Thank goodness we were the last stop.
Yes. Children are always in the middle. These parents playing dumb isn't a good look. I realize its a blow to their pride but he was there 3 times and left it on the door. There is no way they had no clue.
Could be a good thing for the boy. He's quite mature and having to fend for himself, away from the influence of his dead-beat father. Good Luck Son, fare thee well.
💯 Exactly. Pay rent to have a roof over your head. I know some people pay other bills and do other things before paying rent. Yet have 6 kids they needed to shelter. Some people should not be parents. Yet they were making 5000 a month. Leeches will always be leeches, no matter where they go.
Even if the parents weren’t blatantly lying to their kids about having until the end of the month to move out, they still didn’t make a single attempt to start packing up their stuff to leave and the body cam footage was filmed on the 24th. How many days do they think are in a month?! 😒 It’s just pathetic what some parents put their children through. Smh
Yeah I really feel for the kids. You think mom and dad are gonna make it right, but nope mom and dad got you into the mess. Hope and pray he never goes through that again
Shame on the parents for making their children go thru this. Kids should never be involved in adult situations, its the parents job to make sure that they do everything they can to take care of their responsibilities and not put their kids into any kind of adult role.
Im sorry, I've been a landlord and a renter and I know that it takes months and several notices before it ever get to this point. So the parents had plenty of time to avoid this situation from happening
Not where I live You get a "3 day pay or quit" taped to your door. 4th day they walk in and throw everything in a dumpster. And you can't pull stuff out of it. On the 4th day everything in the home becomes theirs.
Depends on your state. I live in Indiana and execution of an eviction is 72 hours after the court date max and eviction can be filed 14 days after a single missed payment as long as it’s stated on the lease. Major difference from Tennessee or the above commenters state is they are not allowed to throw your stuff away or put it on the curb during the eviction. The landlord has to store it and then the tenant accrues storage and moving fees and if they don’t pay that then they can take possession of the property.
Bingo! They always say that so it gives them a few more seconds to make up a lie! Notice how the Mom could barely look Mr. Penn in the face when answering the question about payment! She was so defensive. 😂
Exactly, imagine all your stuff is out on the yard for all your friends to see, the poor kids. The parents are shameless liers, they knew their time was up.

What's funny about this is that they're always on the phone trying to call people that isn't going to help stop the eviction. The damage was done a long time ago.
The American Eviction process is fucked up, that's why. There should be no doubt as to when you have to be out and yet half the time they show up the person honestly doesn't know. In Canada, when it gets to that point the sheriff will come post something on your door, and you have tons of warning. Plus, both sides get a free lawyer to meet with and a mediator to work with you and the landlord so you can (hopefully) come to an agreement that both parties can live with. If you're a day late or dollar short from the agreement then you're out. It protects the landlord, but it also protects the tenet from paying the money, but being kicked out anyway. It's a win-win situation. In half these videos the judge orders them out without even giving them paper work or a specific date to work with. That's messed up.

They didn't go into alot of debt, and all bills were paid on time. We never worried or even thought about our parents ability to take care of us. We were only a 1 income family.
Things are a hell of a lot different today verses 50 years ago bub. Over 75% of US workers barely have enough to get by each week and it isn't from not being responsible. You definitely need to use the internet and research to find out what reality is right now, it most certainly isn't what you think. Our country needs to hope a recession is the least of our worries soon.
That’s nice but the reality is that in 2022 most family could barely make it with a two income household the economy is so fuck right now , but these parent should not have let a gone that far there resources that are available if they could prove there going through financial hardship
Yes, my parents were exactly the same way. We owned homes and my dad worked at my mom stayed home and took care of us and just never really thought about it because they were just responsible and good. It wasn’t until I became an adult that I realized, just how truly blessed my childhood was.
Finally, even though these parents lie and are shady as heck (which causes these situations in the first place), at least their home is clean and the son and daughter are very polite.

I think what hit me in the heart the most was the daughter. She was expressionless, stone faced going through the house the entire time, never showing emotions. That tells me she's been through this before, because if you notice everyone else is freaking out, but her. This is something a kid, regardless of age, should ever have to experience. The eviction guy is actually incredibly nice, friendly, patient & reasonable all of which 99% of others wouldn't be.
Not necessarily. I respond to traumatic situations with the same response, whether I’ve been through it before or not. It’s basically like dissociating and you don’t even realize you’re doing it.
That's not true. Everybody deals with traumatic situations differently, that's not an indicator of being used to situations like these. Some fight and get aggressive, yell, argue, break stuff, some break down and cry, some freeze completely, like a deer caught in headlights, some turn into robots and just function. A lot of us people who work in the medical fields are like my last example. Whenever I come into a dangerous, stressful, frightening situation I become completely calm, reassure everybody that everything is alright, make my emergency calls, take care of everything I have to take care of, looking completely unbothered, and as soon as the situation is over I get the shakes, sweats, heart palpitations, and have to sit down for a while. This girl is in shock and completely overwhelmed, yet she tries to do what has to be done.
The daughter was angry, and on auto pilot. Her snapping off on her father clearly shows she is not emotionless about the situation. She is just trying to keep it together and preserve as much of her life as she can, straight trauma. You have a child yelling, “ if yall was doin what yall was supposed to do,” reprimanding her irresponsible parents. This eviction is one of many things they fail to handle like the adults and parents they are supposed to be.
Those POOR children. My heart breaks for them. It looks like this was a few years ago, so hopefully, they are all okay and doing well. That poor kid was trying so hard to be man of the house until his parents got there when internally he was freaking out. I'm SURE.
All those tenants that haven't paid rent / mortgages since the start of Covid....this is what their about to experience first hand real soon. My tenant hasn't paid since Feb 2020. Government forced me to pay his rent and unlimited utilities for 24 months and still do to this day. Meanwhile he has a guaranteed government income which is exempt from court judgment. He knows he'll never have to pay me a dime, and so did the governor, mayor, and feds when they declared a moratorium. It was a government forced wealth transfer. I'm getting out of the rental business and I hope tenants and politicians pay dearly for their evil.

I worked my last 19-years working for the Gov - HUD and I never knew there was two publics! 1-the General Public and 2-the Necked Public and the average US Tax Paying Citizen's would not even know they existed! Neither did I and I retired 18 1/2 years early because they could not have paid ne enough $$$ to face those dammed generational fools! Not ONLY did I face this for 8-hours at work but in my personal life as well being my mother/brother brought up a lot of real estate and it came down to my brother's wife coming down with Breast Cancer and my mother a Kidney Problem so all that shit fell back on me! It's takes a special person to be in the business of catering to the necked public! I'm not special in anyway so good/great luck to you man!
I’ve been evicted before, it’s not a good feeling, the embarrassment never goes away no matter how well you’re doing now. I never waited or avoided making arrangements to move though. It never got to the point where the bondsman had to come move my stuff out. I hope they bounce back from this and learned they lesson. I feel bad for the kids that go through this, not they fault.
The landlord can still evict them out even if they paid if they were late chronically because it's still a violation of their lease and if they owed those two months they still needed to pay for them.
I use to feel bad for people who got evicted, until I started watching landlord and tenant court on RU-vid. Now I know all the games tenant's play and try to look innocent. Get To Steppin!!!
That's right. Due to lost rent monies, maintenance, attorney fees, and my process serving fees, many of these property owners are out of $10, 000 plus easy. I have seen property owners be out of over $50,000.00
People always act clueless. I was in property management for 5 years, it takes MONTHS to get to this point. They've had notices posted to their door and certified letters they had to sign for. Also, if you don't pay rent, what do you expect?!?
Because of monies owed to me, in the thousands, I forced a new owner to evict me. It took him over a year, because I had help from a realtor regarding landlord/tenant law. When I finally got the 3 day notice to vacate, I had my belongings in a trailer and I sat there until 5 o'clock. The time I had to be out. Sad part is my liens were never paid. But I got over a year free rent to partially compensate me.
He’s going to give it to the Mexicans and let them have it??? Why was that even necessary for him to say?! I didn’t hear the officer tell anyone to get the “F” out. So as far as all the comments, I think he was very understanding. Polite even after being cursed at. Kudos to you Mr. Penn!
White Men always refer to them as "Them Mexicans". I've seen & heard it many times throughout the Years. Sound like he was intentionally being mean by saying that.
@@princesslamour1985 Mexican is a nationality not a racial category. Any racial category can be Mexican. Get that straight. The majority of Latinos are MESTIZO, which is a hybrid between CAUCASIAN European and ASIAN Ameri-indian. According to census data, over 50% of Latinos identify as WHITE. 🙃 Last time I checked, it was the white Caucasian human population that created the social construct of race, and spent centuries perpetuating GLOBAL racism, so they really have no business preaching about it being targeted towards them to begin with. Learn the difference between race, ethnicity, nationality, racism, and bigotry.
I am always so just astonished at people who aren’t paying their rent, but have the biggest tv in each room. Tons of game systems and computers, etc. For crying out loud, pay for a place to live before you buy anything else.
You are the nicest person. You explain things calmly which keeps the situation calm. Plus you explain everything so clearly and tell them what to get. Remind them to get medications. That could be crucial.
I disagree about the person doing the eviction being nice. What a shock to those kids when he told the boy at the door he would shoot the dog. His first words when the boy came to the door
Parents playing stupid they know damn well that was on the door. They thought they was slick. Thinking if they didn't get served directly they didn't have to worry about it. Surprise you don't live here no more. Then these kids are put in the middle because the parents trying to finesse.
I was apart of an eviction process about 20 years ago with my new wife. We pushed it as far as we could and we finally left the day before the sheriff's came. The reason we know that is cuz we grabbed everything we could and left But realize we missed some pots and pans and we went to go back and get them and there is a note on the door from the sheriff saying the locks were changed and we raced off and never look back. I feel bad now 20 years later as an adult who realizes that we cost these people thousands of dollars who rented us to place and we left get trash. One thing I can say is that everybody who says that they had no idea this was coming is full of s***.😅 I have never again let a place I live get so bad or Done Dirty by a landlord. It really isn't that hard to keep your stuff clean enough to not trash where you live. I am ashamed to know that I'm somebody who cause somebody to have to gut their trailer and probably replace Carpeting and paint the walls and all that stuff plus get rid of the garbage I left behind. I think about that at least once a month and it's been 20 years
@@MariselaCronin to be honest even though I think you're probably somebody who doesn't understand poor people despite the fact that it's the majority of the human race I cannot argue with what you're saying and honestly you are very much correct I should pay not only him but any other debts that I accrued being a lazy person but the one Solace I have now is that I don't know and I haven't for a long time treat anything like that and I give everything the most respect.
