@@TheLucidSpecter it's based off of ruvik from the first game, stem was created from ruviks brain as a host because ruvik locked stem to only use his brain so Mobius said aight then and took ruviks brain. After beacon they decided on using a non crazy host for stem.

Thank goodness they didn't go that route, otherwise it would be super depressing.

The horrors he went through both times. I think the only reason he's still sane is because he now has Lily. Any other person would've tapped out over just the lesser creatures. No one has been through what Sebastian has been through. Hope peace stays with him now. Although the nightmares will most likely be stuck with him for life.

The devs apparently didn’t care about the story or characters. Everything was rushed and the first game’s story was completely forgotten, I was sooo disappointed with this shitty sequel.

@@mehotakii6804 i personally disagree lmao. There was almost no character outside of ruvik and shitty files you needed to read to understand sebastian. Sure 2 contradicts 1 multiple times which bothers me I think it overall made a pretty solid story. Sebastian feels more like a person and I was invested regardless of how simple the story was and it still had some mind fuck moments. The first game was confusing as hell. While I do love confusing. Silent hill is amazing with many of its themes. It was a whole lot of nothing and ultimately led up to nothing. Other than some more knowledge about mobius, (almost nothing) and the creation of beacon nothing was achieved at the end of the game. But that's just my opinion.

Nah, they'll return to the plot of 1. Ruvik will come back (as he clearly was shown at the end of 1 still alive and free in the real world), Joseph will come back (he is still alive), Kidman and Sebastian will team up again. It's pretty clear that Myra was killed off to give her character closure + so Kidman and Sebastian could get together.

No more Castellanos family, they are boring as hell. I want Sebastian to go save Joseph and defeat Ruvik in the 3rd game(this should’ve been the plot of 2).

It's not perfect. It's a fine game, I personally hate games that treats you like brain-dead saying you every time obvious things. I preffer the first in term of story and stage. Gameplay seems better than the first also open-world don't help for this game. You are there for save your daughter, not to do secundary missions.

Secondary stuffs are for finding out what's going on in union which makes sense, for you to level up and get weapons and gear, The first one had exploration but not as much as wide as this. A total step-up from the first, Plus the first had the worst scripted boss fight, this Evil within had more freedom than the first. Yes you can still save your daughter its the choice of the player if he wants to skip all the interesting side mission and complain on how short this is. It'll take you about 12 hours total to finish the main, Side quests has extra 4 - 5. Plus Sebastian's motivation of this game makes more sense to save her thought dead daughter. When she was really alive. The first had no motivation, its another investigation in a WTF scenario inside a psychopaths mind.

I want to talk in deep about this game and show why it's not so good, becouse my english is basic and can't explain all the stuffs. I will try to explain what I can. First open-world doesn't help for this game and secundary missions are for make the game longer, because you know, people would complain about the game time. Gameplay doesn't feel full pulish, could be better, it's feels kinda rushed. The DIALOGUE, oh god, saying every fucking time obvius stuffs and the puzzle are for brain-dead people, the game it's constantly trying to make you pay attention like saying "Woah" all the fucking time and even has some scene that I feel exagerrated. I want to say more if you only could understand Spanish I can say all what you want. EDIT PART: Oh yeah, your daughter it's in danger with a lot of dangerous creatures, BETTER DO SOME SECUNDARY MISSIONS! And nope. I saw gameplays that try to do and collect all the stuffs they saw through the game. And in the end has 12 hours played.

Oh, and the protagonist is a detective so the open world aspect fits because if you think its as simple as finding your daughter without knowing what the f*ck is going on is stupid. besides the exploration element in this is fine because I love exploring and also the majority of player.getting more weapons and gear to survive against these new enemies so yeah save your daughter against a dangerous adversary with nothing but a knife and a peashooter and just ignore ammo, because yeah save your daughter, in which is the goal of the story and the game. Think about it, I know what you mean but think at a logical sense that would keep the story and the gameplay relevant and interesting.
