I bought this with the sequel and also all the dead space games over Christmas. Just completed it yesterday so I had to check out the speed runs. Nice to see runs so recent.
Great run as always. I had a question for you seeing as how you play games at a high level: how do you like the PS5 pad? I mainly play on PC but do seek out pads for certain games and was wondering how the current Sony one was.

I remember retying the 2 safe heads fight at the end like 4 times, after realizing I simply hadn't the ammo to kill them, I loaded an earlier save, redid both arenas before hand, made sure to not miss any shots then walked into the 2 safe heads room and barely had enough to kill them both. and you killed them both in like 15 seconds. bruh!
Finished the game yesterday. While I did not enjoyed it that much, it was such a treat to see you so expertly steamroll all the levels, a real cathartic experience for me 🤣 Congrats 👏
May I ask why you didn't enjoy the game? What issues did you have with it? I'm only curious bc I'm thinking of making a video about the pros and cons of this game. Did you play the 2nd? And if so did you enjoy that more? Your feedback would be huge for me. Thanks. Cheers
@@blinkersgaming Hey mate 👋 My memories aren't that fresh but what I recall the most is this weird impression to be playing an Action game with Survival Horror controls which more often than not felt tedious. Weirdly enough my favourite part was the first level in the village where the Gameplay is a bit more "tactical" and less action intense like further in the game. I think most of the people that like this game usually dislike this first zone somehow. There's also quite a few cheap death during the campaign with traps or special enemy encounter that can just one shot you without any possibility for adaptation or retaliation. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but when you're already struggling, it adds up really quick. 23:19 did you already have the shotgun and medkit from a pre order? It does the game automatically give it to you through a glitch? I'm new to all this, and this is probably one of my favorite horror games ever. I found you and figured maybe I could learn some "new moves" 😁 thank you edit: ok looking back I see it's a double barrel shotty, so yeah probably a or order. Funny, I could've sworn I pre ordered both titles, but recently I've had to repurchase this one (never loan to friends) and when I fired up 2, I didn't have the automatic pistol. Ohwell. This run is extremely fun to watch!
Hey Jigzaw really good run, I just got a question on the chapter 6 the fight aganst the Sadist, I cannot get it to work to kill him the way you do, I did the the same way like you. Is my timeing off or is there a specifig way I need to hit him with the axe?
Im now trying it. Im in the start of chapter 4, already have one hour and 40 minutes. I dont know if im gonna make it under 5... still have 12 chapters left. Its so hard on nightmare :( And the mechanics can be frustrating. This guy runs 3 seconds, and is already exhausted god dammit.
I take up to 5 hours for a speed run as there are no infinite weapons I always grab so as not to go overboard with any enemy all this is the master of evil within lol

Nice saying new game + is like boring... Im the same type guy who hates if the game helps or any damn dlc helps with gadgets or weapons i like vanilla playtroughs too where you just start off and experience the full game the same way. ( that way monsters etc stay on the same level and you just get stuff to be stronger not starting off killing everything with an infinite ammo thompson(not evil within))
