Thanks to both yourself and Chris for this incredible exposition. 8 year old version of myself was trackside in Adelaide watching the 97T with Senna, just blowing people away with how fast he was with and in it. I was hooked on F1 from that very moment and to this day, 36 years later, that car is still in my personal Top 10 GOAT F1 cars ever driven in anger.

This content is absolute gold. Chris must have so many stories to tell, and you can tell and absolute gem of a man.

Fantastic channel. I love the content. Lotus 79 came out when I was 10 years old. I still believe its the most beautiful racing car Ive ever laid eyes on. Ive been watching some of Martins little stories. As a teenager I was ( still am) a huge fan of him. He Always seemed to end up in the wrong F1 car at the wrong time. I recall my brother coming back from the UK to Australia in 1983 talking about the epic battle between these two young blokes called Senna and Martin Brundle in F3. 🤣 I followed him right the way through his racing career and now love to hear his insights as a commentator. And you young fella are a chip off the old block. 👍

These are really good reviews. Well done Mr Brundell. There is a quiet enthusiasm that bubbles through in Norfolk that is infectious. The camera operator also has a good eye for understanding the details that enthusiasts wish to see.

Is that sarcasm? He didn't point his camera at the skirt while it was being demonstrated.

@@FlyBoyGrounded Perhaps he didn't want to be accused of "up-skirting" ;-) Let's give the lad some encouragement as he is quite handy behind the wheel and the mic.

The JPS livery made the Lotuses from that period (from the lotus 72) the most gorgeous f1 cars ever, shame John player were selling addiction and death

When it was announced Ayrton Senna was leaving Lotus to join McLaren I asked him how he felt about leaving an active suspension car for a passive suspension car and he said, “Good question. I hadn’t thought of that.” Magic . . .

Old formula 1 was so much better. Early 2000s and prior were so good to watch & listen to, nowadays it just isn’t the same.

Oh god, not another one. My favourite era was 1978 to 1982. But those days are over. Gone. Finito. Move on.

I always had a suspicion about the twin chassis car. Since the body was connected directly to the uprights or wheels, I bet the suspension reacted very slow do to all that unstrung weight.

2:30 that bit was so badly shown. We se him take the pin out but there are virtually no shots of how it works.

I can’t muster enough sarcasm to express how disappointing this video is except to say, "Brilliant camera work and direction! Let's demonstrate how a skirt works from the opposite side of the car" and "We'll talk about how innovative the type 88 was but we haven't got one to show you".
