I almost disagree. She knew Chris was deadbeat and decided to have another kid with him. That’s not being a good parent, knowing that half your children don’t have a father when their brothers do.

FYI, just letting you know that child support is supposed to be for the kids. I agree 100% that men deserve rights to their children, but I’m tired of this trope that “women feel entitled to child support”. Good men pay child support and no, throwing the mother of your child money here and there to help support your child does not count. It’s actually terrible financial advice longterm unless you have documentation of it. Child support is supposed to go towards helping to raise a child you helped create. Most men that complain about it are deadbeats and if they claim otherwise don’t believe it.

On another occasion when Jo is just talking to his parents in the kitchen, they were telling him he says stuff he shouldn't. I think they reprimand him in private. I also think they reckon he is a father so he shouldn't be treated as a child any longer. His choices are now his to make, his mistakes that are his to make, & he will have to live with those words/actions for the rest of his life. I did think it was a bit silly to expect Kail to not seek someone else out after breaking it off w Jo. She had no one but her ex's parents. I've felt that desperation, my ex's family was like my own (dated from 15-23yo) & even though I do not miss him I do miss his family very much. There were times I didn't leave bc I didn't want to lose his family. Then if we were off in our 7 1/2yo off & on again relationship, I seeked out other male attention instantly. Of course eventually I learned that's just how it is. Life goes on. His new boyfriend (yeah he's actually gay) can now absorb that same love. My current boyfriend's parents/family are awesome too, I just didn't bond to them in my childhood and have only seen them a handful of times. Hoping for that to change soon though :)
