The coolest thing about mandalorians is that they're kind of like the "middle ground" between sith and jedi, but also they're known for being able to match these force-wielders in combat without any force abilities of their own.

It wasn't mandalore's mask Revan took but of a Mandalorian that tried to defend the cathar, stating they where innocents and was killed among the cathar. Revan found the mask and saw the vision of the female mandalorian that stood with the cathar

He took both, but yeah you're right, the mask in this video (Revans mask) is the unknown mandalorian female. He hid the mask of mandalor, but then later helped Canderous Ordo find so he could reunite the clans.

What is said in the video is correct, but when it says he 'took the mask of mandalore and hid it', its showing a picture of Revan finding his own mask, not mandalores, which is confusing.

I love the Neo Crusader armor but I also grew up with KOTOR so there's definitely some bias there. I'd love to have my own set of Neo Crusader armor but I'd have to make it myself and I don't even know where to begin on something like that.

As good old Canderous Ordo puts it in KotOR, "We wanted to fight the best in the galaxy in a battle that would be remembered for centuries. And we did. And Revan won. That's what being Mandalorian is all about: fighting the very best, no matter the outcome, it's the honour and the memory of those battles that inspire future generations into feats of their own. An endless cycle of glory.

In the original EU the Mandalorians even eventually became the official protectors of the new republic. So in a way, after thousands of years they did achieve their dream to rule the galaxy through martial provess. Although instead of doing so through invasion like in the mandalorian wars, they did so by becoming the galaxy's greatest heroes.

@@ninjaelectivire1118 its not disney canon. Lucas himself changed it 4 years before he sold Lucasfilm. All the old republic stuff is still canon only clone war era primarily the traviss republic commando stuff was changed. To be honest she made the mandos into whiny so called uber jedi killers which they never were. I can live with that stuff being changed.

Revan's mask is not the mask of Mandalore the Ultimate. It is the mask of a female Mandalorian, that Revan took to wear to honor the woman's sacrifice (since she had turned against her leader Cassus Fett and had been killed by her own), and Revan swore that he would not remove the mask before the Mandalorians had been defeated. Apart from that mistake, great video!

@@mochimoni1975 To be honest, I cannot even remember, but I KNOW that I have definitely read it somewhere. In the process of finding my sources this very second. Nevertheless, Mandalore the Ultimate's mask is often mistaken for Revan's mask, because it is clearly stated that "Revan took Mandalore the Ultimate's mask as a spoil of war". Howeveer, Revan was already wearing his mask when he fought Mandalore the Ultimate, and apart from that, the two masks look nothing alike. Revan's mask does not even have the T shaped visor that Mandalore the Ultimate's mask has.

I prefer it when there is a scarcity of Mandalorians, it adds for more intrigue and makes the remaining mandalorians more interesting. Knowing that all the mandos are united during the OT, but Boba is off being a mercenary just feels odd. Also knowing that boba is canonically not a mandalorian is also weird lol. If the main character in the new show was just one of the remaining beings of a larger and forgotten culture, it’d make him feel more special

As I recall, his own daughter or granddaughter called into question his status as a Mandalorian. His father died before he could take him on the verd'goten, the ceremonial rite of passage, so technically he never became a Mandalorian adult. That Jango is allegedly no longer a Mandalorian is what irritates me the most on the Fett/Mandalorian topic.

well, id say that's not really the case. the Mandos culture was completely fractured after ravin. so even having a "united" mando faction under the dark saber doesn't matter much when there are several other Mandalorian factions roaming the galaxy carrying on more ancient traditions.

Do you know how much paperwork a planetary governor has to deal with? vincent kreyling the mandalorians are basically Star Wars version of Spartans. The most effective warriors because they weren’t limited by race or sex like how other species were at the time during the time of the empire if they weren’t pacifists they could’ve easily stared a rebellion way deadlier than what we saw in the original movies

@Mario Perez I gotta hate on you for wanting a "Sith Mandalorian" because in throughout their history, the Sith have manipulated the Mandalorians into following the less honorable path and nearly led to their destruction. I can't fault the Jedi for nearly wiping out the Mandalorians time and time again when virtually every time it's happened, the Mandalorians were little more than pawns of the Sith.

Actually, our weapons would be very effect against what star wars has. Take an ATAT against 3-5 modern US tanks; sure the ATAT is heavily armored, but NOT for projectile based weapons; the ATAT is armed against particle based weaponry. So, because we have 3 tanks which can flank the ATAT, and continuously fire projectiles, I think we would win.

2008 TCW did not only butcher the mandalorians but a lot more previously established lore. On Satine, her entire ideology is the opposite of what mandalorians stood for previously and I especially disliked that they made her Obi Wans love. Siri Tachi was so much better. In the old material, after the empire was defeated by the new republic, the manderlorians actually had an epic batlle defending their world against the Vong and became an influential force again after said Vong war.

At 00:28, that technically could be part of the Unknown Region. Imagine if a Super Stardestroyer or 2 was exploring/mapping charts for the Empire deep in the Unknown Region. Then through some unforeseen circumstances they crashed onto a Uncharted Planet. Which happens to be Xenomorph Homeworld or Yautja Prime?? Which planet would be the better story arc??

Doesn't really make it Christianity anymore, does it? Mandalorian culture was one that revolved around family and honor. Honor through battle, yes. But that was their culture, and that was how anyone who chose to be a Mandalorian wanted to live. If they didn't like the culture, at that point in time they had the choice to leave the culture and no longer be a part of it.

I still think it is BS that Mandalorians ever side with the Republic or Rebellion. While the relationship between Sith and Mandalorians was always difficult, betwen them and the Republic/Rebellion there is nearly NONE thing that ever fit and gave them a common ground.

The only absolute canon before the Disney acquisition were the movies. Any EU material that contradicted the so called 'first priority' canon was pretty much seen as what Star Wars Legends are today. All your precious EU material was never hard canon, don't get your panties in a twist over Disney.

The Mandalorians are an extremely good reason on what I love everything from the Expanded Universe, which is why I hated how they were depicted in the Clone Wars cartoon. Those episodes about the "peaceful" only human Mandalorians truly annoyed me to no end.

I love Star Wars, but with Disney in control, I am very hesitant to buy in to anything new from Star Wars! I liked Rogue One more than The Force Awakens, only because TFA was like a carbon copy of A New Hope! Solo was a bad western with Han, Lando, Chewie, Maul and some new characters!!!! The Last Jedi was so terrible I will leave it there! Kathleen Kennedy and her handpicked Story Group are not helping Star Wars any at all. I saw Star Wars Resistance Episode 1 and was not impressed. I hope The Mandalorian is great, but ???? I really look forward to the new Trilogy by the writers of Game of Thrones, but Episode 9 is of now interest to me at all? Luke is dead, Leia's actor is dead, Han is dead, what more to say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
