Professional bomblance main here. The weaving and dodging of shots from pesky shotgunners has always been a problem for fledgling Lance users. Once they enter the rhythmic state of "Lance dancing" for the first time they I notice they quickly gain their sea legs and grow up to be voracious and fearsome predators. Very good video. Educational 10/10
I know this probably won't get the views tarkov does, but this is still great. People fail to understand that one person can't make content on the same game forever
Right but that being said if somebody is watching the channel for tarkov content it's fair for them to not watch outside content. I'm a hunt player so I like this but this is objectively a tarkov channel and that's probably what people watch it for.
right there with you meng. to me its hot dog shit straight from the pooper. ive zero idea why id play this over tarkov. i did not enjoy it. i hate hearing about it. but i support this channel so. here i am for the vids view atleast.
@@drunkpunk5393 For me it's the opposite way. I love hunt and idk why I would even want to play Tarkov over it. Hunt is way better in my opinion. I respect your opinion
Melee users in Hunt are ether the easiest or scariest things you can meet, having been one myself with a focus on the combat axe and saber one need to be sure of when you have to be aggressive and when you need to stand back and take them out at range all in all a great video and well informed so keep em coming
Something I've loved to do on hunt, and I've enjoyed it from the moment i got it, was use the axe whenever i could, and i even reach to use it, hard. I've sprinted at unaware hunters with the axe before and while I've had failures, those victories are so worth it. I've amassed a lovely collection of guns like these funny looking chain-fed ammo pistols i got from a particularly wild session one time, but i don't use them, because i love using the axe, as I've always loved southern culture and gotten very familiar with the axeman of Louisiana, and have wanted to bring this legendary story into hunt: showdown, so if you ever meet the axe, it's probably because i heard you bounty hunting in the bayou without your jazz on. I go by the same name as i do here, and I've been on the prowl more out in the bayou lately, so do be sure to gimme a holler if you ever recognize my name.
I really love this content. Hunt is such a cool game and I’m happy that you’re going to keep uploading vids on it. But really all your stuff is good, we love you and your content
another notable group is the Combat axe user that uses choke bombs to choke out their enemies while they wreak havoc within a building, they commonly take 1v3 fights as they know they will win over the firearm wielders that cannot hit their shots within the asphixiating gasses.
It's been months since this video, but you can disable the in-game tips in the options menu. I highly recommend it, as it can sometimes completely block your sight of enemies
Love Punt: Touchdown. I'm thinking with the recent prevalence of pirate cosplays (sabre/sparks pistol), there might be a video in covering cosplay builds. Some of the native characters with bow, Sgt Bridgewater with cavalry double uppercuts.
I’m at that second rank, I prefer weapons with a melee attachment (namely Romero Hatchet or Winfield Talon), but man, oh man, are even these half-melee-measures effective- especially now after the buff to Conduit, pumping stamina shots and aggressively grabbing clues let’s you just gnaw on whole teams if you’re quick.
0:33 Have you ever considered for your graphic intros, why not photoshop a second version of the title screen with the O already filled in, then have it switch to that one when it starts to zoom in, that way it'd be a clean transition to darkness instead of the awkward transparent space around the black box.
Alright, you got it fully right here. I'm a melee player and have wiped out trios on multiple occassions when I'm on a stamina shot. I am staying at stage 4 though, Karabiner and Sabre with a stamina shot is without doubt the best loadout I've found. And yes, shotgun users (caldwell rivals are best against melee) are our WORST ENEMY. I hate all of you, but GG.
Most Sword clips are from 5 star lobbies. Most of the Bomb lance clips are from 5 star but the especially egregious one where I run in and kill an entire team before they can banish was in a 3-4 star lobby
I do enjoy melee kills. Though i use the heavy knife for it, as i find it versatile as tool slot item. Kill hunters with headshots or two slices. Wide slice can hit multiple targets. And now most effective tool for concentrina. And i can use guns for everything else. But yea i use the knife for clutch moments or not enough time to reload, or when I'm to close and the knife is more effective.
Honestly, the way tarkov is going I'm glad I switched to hunt even if only for a little while. Tarkov's still got a lot of jank, but hunt is as good as it's ever been it seems.
im by far the minority here. but i hate this game and i hate hearing about it lol its literally nothing like tarkov except its followed the genre tarkov created. its not immersful. at all. nor realistic. i like your videos my meng and your content. so i support you but i do not enjoy this game. lmao
As a 100% saber main who cannot play a match without a saber as my primary, and at least 1000 hours of saber experience, this is the most accurate hunt video I’ve seen.
I prestige 4 back on ps4 as melee. Frames were meh and aim was wack. So I learned the ways of melees. This video is 100% accurate. People do panic. Shotguns make my cheeks clinch. We do try to get a kill with our blades. Who doesn’t love a 1 shot. Prestige 1 on steam and melee is still fun as ever.
4k hours of my life wasted in Hunt Showdown, the basic trusty knife is all you need for melee. It will one shot anyone, had a high DPS against bosses, and is useful for hounds, hives, zombies, etc. Almost zero reason to bring anything else unless for larping or fun purposes. However console players... where aiming is harder due to the nature of a controller... definitely get much more out of the stronger melee weapons with more range.
@@DreadPyriteBob Yeah I heard that from some console guys who play hunt. They told me that melee is really common and big on the console ports. I'm interested to actually try it out on console one day just to see how different it is. I imagine there's less campers? I could be wrong.
There's also what is known as the Hazmat Effect, where melee users evolve out of desperation and become better at securing kills with their knuckle knife rather than their guns
I started hunt as a melee user, then started trying other guns. I couldn't understand why I wasn't enjoying the game as much, and I recently picked up melee again and realized I had lost myself. I AM ONE OF THE HUNT MELEE. THIS IS WHERE I HUNT SHOWDOWN. Also great demonstration on some techniques for playing melee well. It's a good reminder on the importance of the juke against shotguns.
This documentary is due for an update! Melee users have developed into more subspecies that require more observation! Ik Hunt isn't your main content but I would love to see more of these, they're funny af 🤣
Everything in this video is 100%. I went through every stage of the melee user. Told my self I was going to be a sneaky long range sniper boy. Turned into a solo melee user and with the permanent introduction of the centenial shorty silencer. I can choose to stay quiet and go loud when needed.
