@@jturner2577 I am born a Jew, thinking I could earn heaven and also to reject Jesus. When I had everything in life i was empty inside and decided to kill myself, that week God sent a man to share the gospel with me of His love and forgiveness and friendship, and i came to His amazing grace. Joy to the World, listen to what your grandmothers told you. I ended up leading my grandma to the Messiah reading Isaiah 53 with her..she got the joy of salvation too in Him.

THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM. Knowing the severity of The Lord men depart from evil. GODS HOLY SPIRIT leads ppl to Live HOLY. FEAR is not wrong unless it's a yoke!

@@blessed4737 my dad was raised by Amish. I'll always be grateful for the things they taught him about work ethic and how to be a real man and dad. I'll always cherish my childhood friends that we would play with in the barn here in Ohio. I have many MORMISH (Amish who are now Mormon) friends who I deeply cherish. I'm so going that you'll be happy, prosper n remain blessed by the gospel of Jesus Christ

Who says they weren't following Christ before, their culture was different that's all. They broke away from their culture and changed their pov regarding the scriptures. Not all interpret the scriptures the same and not one can say they are 100% correct. We are too quick to point fingers at other churches because we all think we are in the right one.

I was once in a cult and it is only.by the sheer grace and mercy of God that I came out of darkness into God's marvellous light. You too, if you are willing to read the New Testament with an open mind, and especially the Gospel of John, will come to know that you need to be born again, born of the Spirit from heaven above. The conversions in this documentary are genuine conversion, and from thousands of miles away, in a far-off land, I can say emphatically that God worked wonders among these young Amish couples. That they have kept their faith vibrant over 40 years is itself proof of the amazing, almighty power of God, and, of course, His abounding grace!

I've been to Intercourse PA. Such beauty up there. The landscape .... Oh my... And the jelly is delicious. I don't know much about the Amish community but I don't like the way they stop the kids education.

Control from some of the community, especially the so called Person that represents the pastor. They sometimes pick who the girls are marrying. Plus he controls the money from other workers of business. Then if they leave they do not own the homes they have put their money into. I pray and ask God to bless them in the decision to move toward God. If they believe and keep Gods focus. God never intended for men to act as women were slaves.

God hates the sin of pride. The Amish have been told for centuries that their way of life is the only way to heaven and most aren't willing to let go of their tradition and admit that they're wrong.

It doesn't matter if a person is a Hebrew or a Greek or an Ulster Scot, etc. The Bible says that all who call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved. That's just cruel, mean and heartless. Of course people should be allowed to attend a funeral. Where's their forgiveness, their acceptance, their decency? That's just plain horrible.

No one should tell you , you can’t see anyone or do anything you don’t want to do and punish you like that for it. You have your own free will to ask for forgiveness from God..NOT the community or elders!!

Barbara Selden , I follow Steph Macleod from Scotland. He is a Worship Leader in a church there, sorry I don’t know where. He has a fantastic testimony of how God delivered him. He is also a part of the group Celtic Worship. If you haven’t ever listened to them, look them up on RU-vid.

I think i see these people in troy Missouri.this is definitely a story of how God proves himself to anyone who chooses to put their in Him.

I think most Amish DO study the Bible. But they are in communities where every community is independent and have to obey their bishop no matter what. So some Amish communities may allow for Bible study and are truly Christian just narrow about it, and some may not. It sounds like this community wasn't, but God has a way.

@@sistermadrigalmorning233 I agree, it depends where you live. Will also depend what type of Old Order or New Order Amish group you belong. If you live in a larger group, many church districts, it would be problomatic to have some districts study the bible and some not. For the sake of not splitting the community , all would be typically the same in that manner. Some may not accept bottled gas or power lawn mowers. Bible study would be settlement wide though.

@@spongemonkeysooz yes, he just turned 17, they never figured out exactly why he was sick but it was about four days of deteriorating health before he showed any improvement.

Saved by faith which works by love=saving faith=faith plus the works of God. Faith alone can make shipwreck and be cast off, but not saved by grace through faith.

What a joyful video, through tears i watched. I wasn't a part of the Amish, but I was a part of the United Pentecostal Church for 28 years, and many of the comment resonated with me! Thank you for the bloopers as well LOL!!!!!
