Because of her arthritis, Dorothy used a specially made lever to operate her X-Ray machinery. Despite her achievements, she always credited her students and technicians who did most of the physical lab work. Indian scientist Siveraj Ramaseshan wrote to Dorothy: 'I have often wondered whether you... have not converted those who work with you into excellent crystallographers purely by example and the affection you show towards them.’

Would you consider writing something for The Dolphin, the Sir John Leman High School’s newsletter? It is indeed the school that Prof Hodgkin attended, with the laboratory that she worked in carrying her name to this day. Please do reply if you would. Thank you.

I'm here cuz i was studying biochemistry in the chapter on lipid biosynthesis and saw the structure of vitamin B12 was specially underlined by the textbook. I searched on RU-vid for what's essential for it and found this video. But what made me fascinated is the fact that she even found the structure of penicillin. It's incredible to find out so many important chemical structures in one's life! Thanks for the video for letting me know the fact!

The British press has a lot to answer for. And they are still at it. Called her a 'house wife'. That made me so mad.

Fascinating glimpse into the life of a person who made exceptional discoveries as well as being a humanitarian.

She is my favorite woman scientist. It's regrettable that she is not as well-known as Rosalynd Franklin.

Would have been better without the annoying background music

Some very interesting stuff in here. But it would have been a lot better without all the flickering pictures and graphical garbage.

Unnecessary flashing images detract from interesting subject.

What a brilliant woman. I know you're trying to jazz up science or something like that, but please employ people to make videos that have some sense of quality rather than this overproduced flashy stuff. People have brains.
