He was one of those (99,9%) that were never punished :"Hannibal was investigated in 1960s West Germany for the crimes committed by units under his command in the occupied Soviet Union. The investigation did not result in a criminal conviction. He died peacefully on 9 May 1971 in Hamburg."
Why is it 'amazing'? Comments like yours indicate a desire to do away with the rule of law and due process. Fair enough, if you want that, just state it. State that you're happy for the process to, inevitably, go wrong on occasion, and for innocent people to be imprisoned, or executed. Would that achieve better outcomes?

It is obviously a sequential unedited compilation of clips made for each of these despicable individuals. Given the 10 to 15 min per person, all relevant facts are told. In German TV, there were also much more detailed 45 min documentaries, but I don't know whether these are available in media centers (in German language only, anyway). To get an impression of the horror. I recommend the Soviet/GDR movie "Idi i smotri (Come and See)". It is about a different aspect, the partisans, but the same baseline of atrocities.

My Opa was in the 8th panzer division. When I asked him about this group he said they killed German soldiers also. Towards the end of the was if your were going away from the front you could be arrested and executed on the spot. There was a guy in his unit that was told to go back and find the artillery unit. He was caught and executed because he only had verbal orders
I have a Sommergefechtsbluse Modell M-35 for an SD Unterscharführer that did time with Einsatzgruppe - A. During the fighting withdrawal to Warsaw, he was wounded by a strafing airplane and evac'd to Prague, then to Frankfurt where he was born. His injuries had him labeled " Front unfähig" and he was on light/ limited duty as Germany collapsed then surrendered. He went to his childhood home, hid his Uniform and Soldbuch, and assumed the identity of a Senior Sgt. That died in the Frankfurter Hauptlazarette. He went to work for US Forces and 5th Corp in Frankfurt where he was a motor pool mechanic for 37 years. He gave me his uniform a year before he died. With a large glass of Schnapps, he would describe Einsatzgruppen " Sonderaktionen" that would make the hair on your neck stand up. One of the rarest uniforms in my extensive WW2 German Militaria collection.

Intertesting, but too much repetition of the background and photos. You would have been better to have given a general summary relevant to all and then shorter specifics for each individual.
The whole idea, I think, is to show that the rest of us out here, the ones who deliver justice, are not on the same. low level of the criminals. I believe I understand how it works, but it disturbs me that people will dig their own graves, and generally do whatever they're told...like sheep led to slaughter. I can't imagine myself reacting that way--my response would be anger and resistance. I'm not stupid, and if I know I'm going to die, I'm going to do everything in my power to mess with my killers before I go. I'm also extremely stubborn.

Also, there is the issue of pronouncing a foreign word in your mother-tongue: do you pronounce the term as an englishman, or as a german, with a british accent. I agree with you. My father was a Polish soldier fighting in 1939 in Warsaw and later in northern France in 1940 and then joining the Polish First Armored Division in England. He hated the Germans all his life and I don’t blame him.
